Really not much here. Past it’s prime. Not much fruit life in this. Tried after iolenkng and decanting for a hour. If you have them, drink up as can’t improve but only decline

Maybe past peak, or maybe just not a super interesting bottle. Good, but not a standout, which I guess shouldn’t be surrounding given the age and tough vintage?

A decent bottle, not particularly noteworthy. Tannins are rougher than most merlots, probably reflective of the vintage, and fruit is muted. Not nearly as appealing as the 2010 N&N Harris.

- Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of smokey, cloves and coffee. It's balanced and has flavours of oak, blackberry and raspberry with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish.

PnP. Medium Ruby color. Medium legs. Cherry and Earth nose. Tart Cherry, Cassis and Cedar palate. Interesting bright balance for Merlot. Soft texture. Medium/Short finish. 13.9% ABV.
OK. What is going on here? Very atypical for Merlot to me. Maybe it's just young? This is so Pinot-esque I am not sure what I am drinking. Not placing a rating. It's not bad, but I am at a loss to understand what the deal is.
p.s. It's mellowing as it gets more air but still very Pinot-ish.

Very light nose. Deep purple color. Smooth. Fruit forward with a slight tannic component at the finish

nice rich notes of plum and tomato - backed with fine tannins. Finishes with drying herb.

Had at Valbella's NYC. Medium bodied, smooth, black & red fruits. Good choice.
