Excellent. 13% alc. Clones MV6, 114 and 115. Interesting to compare with the Brokenwood IV-MV6 clone from last night. It lacks the same depth. Colour: light red berries Bouquet: strawberries, sour dark fruits, some savoury character, spice, vanilla, licorice. Palate: as bouquet and opens out really nicely with breathing. Sour morello cherries Long clean finish. September 2020

Hunter Valley - 6 Cellar Doors (Hunter Valley): {screwcap, 13%, A$55} Black cherries, a touch of cedary oak. Sweet red fruits, translucent sort of texture. Soft oak, dusty fine tannins. Medium-bodied, good presence of fruit on the mid-palate. Medium length finish. Tidy wine.

A bit sappy, ripe, good tannin support, has the guts of it but not totally convincing. Tannin has a rough edge on the finish that i cant quite marry. As an aside not sure pinot really works in Beechworth.

Raspberry to the nose, blueberry to the palate, a very pleasant wine to drink, quite dry and very compressed. Drink now.

Good nose. Strong earthy notes. Ok now, but close to the mark
