My last bottle. MP Burgundian slant. Has aged very nicely. Imagine the style when young, add the usual secondary characteristics - some soil, leather, incense. Add some ripe fleshy plum with a finish of plum peel and lingering acidity that goes on. Overall this is in the elegant and feminine direction but with more fruit in a new world way. I think this has kept and evolved nicely. I would say the evolution is quite predictable and perhaps thanks to the screwcap!

Looks youthful, tastes youthful. Can easily keep 5 years or more. Beautiful nose quite similar to the style I vaguely remember at the winery. High toned, lots of fruit, concentration, power, good acidity and still, mouth coating tannins. The aromatic lift and fruit flavors give it a very elegant MP pinot nose. There are no faults to me, good complexity and a longish finish. I should have left the rest in storage, I think I'll put them back in. But this delicious now if you try one. Am not familiar enough with MP pinot to imagine what it will be like in 5 years.

Elegant pinot noir. Not as concentrade or showy as I remembered in Australia, but very well balanced, burgundian.

Christmas '05 in Australia; 12/8/2005-12/27/2005 (Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne and Gold Coast): Classic Pinot nose. Spice and a little pepper on the palate.
