Hardly any discolouration. Got better and better with time in the decanter as the evening went on. Ripe red and black fruit, notes of exotic spices, coffee, herbs, floral notes. Lots of generous fruit on the palate as well, ripe tannins, nice acidity towards the persistent finish. The alcohol is well integrated. Drink or keep. 92-94

Annual Pilgrimage to Piedmont - 2022 Edition; 10/14/2022-10/16/2022 (Piedmont, Italy): Young but well mannered, proper super Tuscan feel here, good ripeness , good use of oak and very much a big wine without being heavy. Well made and silky and we felt that albeit very solid it was still on the young side and a touch one dimensional given the fruit was still at the forefront and needs time. We like this wine a lot in general and just this needs more time. 91 for now but with lots of promise

Decanted for about 45 minutes and recommend two hours as this continued to open during dinner. Cab and Petite Verdot. The PV adds brightness and fruitiness. Very mouthfilling. Lots of red and dark fruit. Still youthful.

Complex yet simple.beautiful Italian wine with slight chewy tannins, floral notes, last for hours if not days. Great with cheese, salami, olives, whatever sounds good. Time to open this I think.

approachable now with 2 hours decanting, but honestly this can only get better with time, very dark color, intense aromatics come out with time, fruit a tad forward probably due to the hear in the vintage, a pinch of bret, but overall a very pretty wine that will benefit from cellaring

A really good wine, hard to imagine anyone not liking this. Deep dark core of black berries, mint, iron, campher, super balanced, super long and super structured. Clearly improved on day 2. Hope this will gain a litlle more complexity over the years - right now it is too expensive for what you get.

Chianti Classico tour 2019 - 2 -Conca D'Oro in Panzano + B a C: Well this CS ( 85% the rest is PV) could easily define focus and purity and precision and is easily the best one I have tasted in the Chianti area. So intense and multilayered yet it is lean and flexible, great job. 3 months in concrete tanks, 12-15 months in tonneaux.

Fabulous wine. Careful not to drink it too warm, as the alcohol will overpower the deliciousness. I don't quite think its the 97 points or so I see somewhere, and I think if it cost $75 vs. $125 I would buy a lot more. Reminded me of the 2013 Tignanello somehow. Like it!

{VinItaly2017} The only of the three tasted today that resonated (at all) with me. That said, while I like it, for what it is, it didn't excite me, didn't speak to me. It's pretty standard fair for a dark-er themed BDX blend, with some pockets of earthy, minerally interest, and pretty perfumes, but today, it didn't offer much to stand out. I like it, but don't see myself every acquiring any for the cellar. Perhaps in the next vintage. 14,5% abv., drink 2020-2032. NR

Serious wine, but it‘s past its prime (or the bottle was not well stored, I only bought it a year ago).

Tasted like a ripe, fine super-second quality claret, but no it's a super tuscan. Tannic. Ripe, but not at all overdone. Super

Beautiful nose but a bit too tannic at this point. Needs a long decant. I’d wait a bit or open in the morning!

Hope it was flawed. Drank over 4 days, and it was best and drinkable day 4, but not much more than that.
