I might have drank this wine after it's peak. Reviews have been outstanding and it was a good wine. Let it breath for 2 hours before drinking. Nose was mellow, subtle - for me it was hard to pull out any strong hints. I found it 'almost' sour and oxidized at the start, but then it finishes very smooth and silky. The cork was fine (soaking bright red).

Had our first bottle after 4 years of holding, and it was a VERY nice surprise. Blew away a well-known Napa label. The Paso fruit is spectacular and has the earthiness of a Syrah without the pepperiness.

Slo-oxed for one hour. Lots of blue and black fruit aromas. The medium to plus palate shows these same blue and black fruits, along with some earthiness, and some pepper. The acidity was balanced, the tannins were integrated, and the only thing marring the experience was a hint of heat (15.4% abv) on the finish. Should hold for a couple of years, but drink up.

Decanted 2 hrs. Tastes of dark fruits with a big peppery finish. Tastes were not as vivid & lush as other TH bottles we've tasted. Maybe the vintage or that cooler it was stored in has temperature variations. Or maybe, just an off bottle.

Very nice bottle of wine. Had with some tender Filet's, and it was perfect. Smooth tannin and decent fruit, without being sweet. This is what makes Paso so great. Very good wine, beautiful place and still very reasonable priced.

This has the Paso big dark fruit, along with tobacco, earth and leather. The wine has nice complexity and a good long finish. This is our first bottle of Terry Hoage syrah and I am really looking forward to the other vintages we've purchased.

The wine has medium acidity. It smells like blackberry, stoniness, vanilla, mushroom, oak, cool/menthol, raspberry, game, fur and mineral. The body is full. The wine finishes long. It tastes like blackberry, vanilla, medium toast, black pepper, espresso, raspberry, stoniness and mineral. The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. The wine has round texture.

The wine is inky purple. Aromas of violets and dried cherries precede a burst of drled cherries and plums giving way to oak and cloves and allspice. The body is smooth and glides seamlessly across the palate to a prolonged spicy finish. A smooth drinking full bodied syrah which belies its spicy finish.

Decanted 6 hours before tasting. Patented softness and balance is here, but this is the first wine from this produces that I can remember with such noticeable oak across the palate.

Deep purple color. Velvety aromas of black cherry and subdued leather, translating onto the palate. This is a wine with good structure but still quite young. A sweetness currently pervades the palate that overpowers the more subtle aspect of flavor. Needs cellaring to develop a more complex profile.

Deep purple, luscious with minimal decant. Followed Epoch Veracity nicely in stride...

Nice Syrah here with blackberry, wild berry, and blueberry fruit. Good core of black pepper and and licorice with long finish.

Popped and poured, took quite a while to open up. Good, but not as nice as the last bottle. Recommend a decant.

Drank after having the 2010, but didn't decant as I did that bottle.. Great nose, brilliant fruit, needs some time to open up. Definitely decant.
