A generous profile of buttery toast and creamy lees, long elevage and ample new oak spices. Warm vintage characteristics of ripe orchard fruits and lower acidity. Instantly recognized it was my Lucien Le Moine, popcorn on the palate with solid richness. Hints of glycerol and heated fruits. Lovely bouquet and popular on the table but I find it a bit too clumsy and fat. It needs more acidity and energy to balance its weight. (88/100)

Pale straw colored; overt oak gives off some funky smells of cold cuts and smoked meat; very edgy. It's the big blowsy nose that stands out. Several guessed California.

2011s from Lucien Le Moine with Mounir Saouma (Flying Elk, Stockholm): Nose with butter, ripe yellow apples, some winter apples, peach, discrete nutty note, some zest, mineral, slightly flowery. Gives an impression of development and maturity, and shows the most oxidation notes of the four whites. Palate with yellow apples, winter apples, some cider and Sherry character (in a positive sense), noticeable minerality and a long aftertaste. Classical, comes across as developed already. 92 p

Good Wine with an Exciting Super Bowl (Chez Kailin - Northbrook IL): Small glass, popped-and-poured. Reductive so tough to fairly asses. Lots of stuff here, so certainly good potential.

Generous, accessible, not weighty, shows a bit of ripeness and oak, but still pretty and graceful in the Le Moine vein.
