Gorgeous wine that stays elegant without losing power. Nose is powerful with herbal and baking spice notes. Palate is balanced and dominated by candied cherries. Spectacularly beautiful wine.

Last bottle, purchased at the winery 10/2013, this bottle appears to be a bit past it’s prime. Still a pleasure to drink, even though the nose was somewhat muted, the fruit was soft and aged, fully integrated tannins, with a medium finish. Paired with grilled filet and stuffed gnocchi.

Decanted and tasted, purchased from the winery back in October of 2013. Nose was quite noticeable, with cherry, plum and very ripe prunes, classic PN nose IMHO. The palate was similar to the bouquet but with earthy mineral notes that were long and complex. One bottle left that I will be in no hurry to consume.

Soft smell of cherries, juice of canned cherries and a touch of Maraschino. On the palate well balanced and soft; round with just a touch of - well integrated - balancing acidity and resolved tannins. Everything smooth and in harmony. A nice, pleasurable bottle of wine, which can be drunk on its own, without food. Probably at its best now. The only draw-back: When the wine got closer to room temperature, it lost some of its tension.

This had a wonderful floral nose of cherries and crushed red fruit. Cherries and raspberries on entry, transitioning to notes of light mushroom and flowers and herbs. Nice acid sugar balance, and the tannins seemed well integrated. I’m curious where this will go in the next 5 years, and if time will tame the floral notes exploding out of the glass. Not that they need to be tamed. In any event, a wonderful and elegant wine and a good example of what Oregon Pinot can be.

Decanted using screened funnel, brought cellar temperature about 30 minutes. Cranberries, pomegranate, hints of raspberries, lovely long tart finish. Two more bottles left, very pleased after six-plus years in the my personal cellar. This bottle was purchased directly from the winery. At peak but should last five more years if properly stored.

Medium dark garnet color, with aromas of a little dark fruit, and mild cedar forest and white pepper. Nice fruit flavors of strawberry and black cherry cola, and a little darker dried cherry on the finish. Really nice wine, not tremendously complicated, just really nice drinking. Don't wait to long, I think this is in the zone and will not get better with more age.

Drinking really well now. But, at the same time, I would have liked to see how these will age for another 4-5 years. Nice raspberry and strawberry notes, complemented by leather and light spice earth notes. Great with charcoal grilled chicken and vegetables!

My first revisit from a litttle over a year ago and was pleasantly rewarded. This was drinking very well with a great balance of fruit, acid, body and spice. My only regret is just one bottle left.

Very good. Darker in color. Classic Oregon nose of earth and spice. Lots of fruit and nice length. Big full mouth and finish. Can likely go another couple of years but drinking nicely right now.

Very nice, Oregon-style of course. Nice earthy nose with a little fruit. Opened up nicely but needs more time. Beautiful crimson color. Good acid/brightness. Slight tannin. Nice finish.

Dark like black cherry juice. Nose of bright cherries and plum, very subtle earth and green spices. Very fruit forward. Palate was mostly fruit of cherries, sweet raspberry or even blackberry. Some mineral notes as well. Tannins are pretty tight and shut it off in the mid palate. Much more fruity than I would expect from an Oregon Pinot. Would love to revisit in a few years to see how it evolves.

Nice Oregon PN; was expecting more from this 2012 vintage; good medium bodied with some fruit but the wine did not come together; Have had some other 2012 PN's from Willamette Valley and this was not as good. Would try again.

Medium dense ruby color, purple rim. Smells of freshly fermented grape juice, quite yeasty, character like a young Beaujolais. On palate under-developed, lots of young fruit and a bit of not yet integrated tannin. Has some promise but's essentially like snatching a baby from the cradle. In addition, I'm not sure that bottling the wine when it's barely a year old is really giving it the best start for the medium term future. Anyway, it went well with the Parma ham and Parmigiano cheese we had as a starter for our meal. Wait at least another 2 years before opening the next bottle.

Dense, dark cherry color, open nose of dark fruit. Medium bodied with a fantastic mouthfeel - silky texture, nice balance and proportion. Well integrated tannins and heat carry the fruit and spice into a very long, gentle finish. Can not believe this is drinking so well now. No characteristics of youth.

A bit off on the end, almost fizzy. Fruit OK, but light. No tobacco. Fair, but nothing special
