Crimson red, almost black in the glass. Long legs and full bodied in appearance. Sweet smell of dark cherries, blackberries, raspberries, vanilla, and possibly violets and lavender. The first taste felt sweet, but the wine opens up in an hour or two showing notes of pepper and wood with hints of cocoa, well balanced. Shows a wonderful smokiness with sufficient acidity and integrated tannins. The peppery mouthfeel lingers for a nice medium finish.

Pleasant, somewhat monolithic Malbec in a modern style. Nose of dark fruits, cocoa, coffee, a hint of soy; on the palate the wine is dense and extracted, but has enough acidity not to be overly cloying. Still some moderately significant tannins, which make me think a few more years of cellar time might do this wine good and allow some secondary aromas and flavors to emerge.

Blackberry; dark, rich fruit; cedar and dill. Very little tannin, medium(-plus) sour cherry acidity, and medium body. Fairly short finish. Overall, a spicer, darker style of Malbec. Good.

Dark purple core, opaque, thin bright reddish purple rim; vanilla, dark berry, plum, blackberry, dark cherry, brown baking spice; larger though not tannic, softer tannin, higher alcohol in the form of plum liqueur, lots of sweet dark fruit similar to the nose, sweet spice, violets; classic Malbec.

Dark dense core with bright purple rim; dark berry on the nose along with char, cocoa, some stewed berry; larger scaled, tangy berry, beefy, good pure Malbec flavors.

Three wines tasted at O'Hare, first place. Lovely spicy and rich dark fruit on the nose, more of the same on the palate, rich and creamy taste, medium/big body, and medium/long finish. Bright, red plum color in the glass.

Last bottle and bought it on the cheap. Fruit forward with some nutty character. Simple but solid for under $10 a bottle.

Purplish red color, medium to full body. Tannic is high and rough but fruity and powerful. Has some oak and barrel taste.
