This was a bit disappointing. I’ve had younger Brooks Rieslings and always thought that they’d improve with age, but this lacks both flavor and aroma. There’s yellow apples and gasoline on the nose and some lemon-lime on the palate.
Nothing is necessarily wrong with it, it just didn’t really live up to expectations.

Tasted at the masterclass at the 2015 Canberra International Riesling Challenge. Subtle nose of lemon, lime, white flowers. Soft palate, very smooth, decent length with lemon, lime sugared segments and lime oil. Finishes a touch bitter/acrid for me.
About a third the production of the regular riesling, this feels both drier and fatter, with a more savory/stony character and a killer tart grapefruit rind note.

Fruit faded big time and acid very low. Cork showing signs of major seepage!

Prominent petrol and white flowers on the nose. Soft fruit. Acidity is a little lower than one would expect. Finish clipped short. A good wine.

Willamette Valley late June tastings: Notes of orange blossom, lime zest and slate. Lean, bright and complex on the palate- very nice and compelling.
