Medium (+) ruby color with some bricking at the very edges. Aromas of black and dark red fruits, earth, graphite, and green pepper. Medium (+) body, medium acid and finish, and largely consistent flavors, along with lingering spice. Light tannic grip, but seems pretty ready to go IMO. Worked well with steak sandwiches. Will consume my other in the next year or two.

This wine amazes me. Still has a strong tannic grip, but it has all the things that make walla walla amazing. Love going to this winery up on the top of the hill. Seems the fruit might be fading. I will drink my last bottle within the next year...

Inky dark purple with a cedar nose on opening. Dry, slightly tart with some better, green notes blending with the black cherry fruit. Fairly prominent acid along with some stone fruit bitter tannins. Not quite integrated on night one.

After recently just getting back from another trip from Walla Walla, I felt the need to open up another one of these. Wonderful example of a Walla Walla bordeaux blend...

Dark ruby with black cherry nose. Dry with a touch of bitter mineral to the fruit of tart black cherries. Bold body with subdued fruit, light acid and chewy tannins.

this was my last bottle of a half case, and it served me well as a weeknight or party wine. Cherry and tobacco nose, and it has gained a little bit more depth that has a little edge to it. Solid offering.

This is a simple, but pleasurable, Washington Cab to enjoy now. No particular intrigue or finesse, but very ripe-fruited and enjoyable with the right food (of I suppose even on its own). Still think the pure Cab from this vintage is superior.

My husband thought it was a 92, but he connected with it. I thought it was too thin, too light, too lacking in flavor, too tight, and too short of finish, which all sucked because the bouquet was very fruity and full. My husband thought it had a nice bouquet, and accessible flavor, a soft mouthfeel, and a decent finish. Decanted 2 hours before drinking (because our first one was too tight), still a bit tight, but opened up over dinner.
Lighter and simpler than expected for an 08--another WA red that seems to be fading rather than gaining interesting secondary nuance with time. However, can't complain at about half price, $17.

Popped and poured. A fairly typical Washington bordeaux blend. Lots of red fruit and soft tannins; enough acid to match well with most foods. Decent finish. This came across a little more simple than I would usually like but it's more than serviceable and should work very well with a random group of people...might even impress a few.
Maybe i got a bad one, but i do not agree with any of these scores. a fun, grape-soda note to start, but that was the only noteworthy element. the rest of the 4-5 hours after a PnP featured acid and a hot flavor, thus, decanting seems like the way to go at this point. i only have a few of experiences with Washington Bordeaux blends, but all of them have been hot. i hope some time will balance out the rest of the bottles.

A good bottle at a great price. Better on the second night. True representation of Washington fruit and cooperage. Terrific nose of blackberry, raspberry and dried currents. Midpalate lacks depth, and finish is clipped.

Dark red, maroon. Light cherry nose. Dry and a little raw with some light tannins and fruit on the PnP. Starts to integrate the fruit and tannins with some air time in the glass. Nice acid and iodine starting to show. Anticipate improvement over night. The next night a restrained nose, soft mouthfeel with light acid, round tannins, medium meaty fruit with just the slightest hint of bitter. Ripe cherries, blackberries, restrained and nicely improved over last night. It went from OK on the PnP to pretty darn good, up 2 pts.
