  • Intense, even viciously deep and dark flavor, this is in some ways a typical over-fruited California Zin, but in other ways remarkable. It reminds me of some of the better Zins I've had from Rosenblum or Quivera.

  • Ruby red color. Relatively light and crisp for a Zin, nice berry/cherry fruit flavors, with a secondary presence of cola, light wood and a dash of pepper. Medium bodied. Well suited for the moderate tannin level and complete absence of heat, which let the subtle flavors carry through to the finish. I generally like Zins a bit more muscular, but this is very enjoyable, especially in the warmer weather. I'd recommend this to people who are not big fans of big, ripe, powerful expressions of the varietal.
