Notes of green apples, honey, pears, honeydew. Like liquid mermalade. This is freaken fantastic. Perfect balance between sweet and sour. The acidity is key to its success. Medium-light bodied but so assertive. Dusty on the finish.
This stayed open on the table for two days accidentally. Guess what? Not a single sign of it going bad. Wow! Incredible effort!

Dark straw color. Nose of peach, apricot, brown sugar, mild marmalade. Similar on the palate. A touch oxidized on the finish which diminished the score a little. We had a discussion as to whether the post 2005 vintages (sealed with Stelvin closures) will age like the older vintages sealed with corks.

this wine was clearly beyond its prime. I love QdC, but this one was mainly gone. Got this bottle at auction, so I can't verify its handling. I wouldn't have thought the the '99 would normally be past it's prime.

Impromptu tasting @ Peter Z. (Belgium): (blind) Beautifully young, keen and fresh on the nose. Citrus, white peach, fresh bunch of grapes, pears, baked apples and caramel. In the mouth it's richer, more round and supple. Pinch of botrytis, hint of almonds, lovely saline minerality. To me it had "Riesling" written all over it...: An auslese from a recent and ripe vintage (2005?) and from a producer who pursues a more modern and fatter style (say Dr. Loosen?). Tssss.... So I took a nosedive and was reproached. But I liked the wine! 18/20

X-Mas Day Wines 2009 (The House): Way to go Baumard in what's considered a lack luster vintage. First the Savienerres, and now this. Gorgeous sweet fruit, very foucsed, and very young. Tons of viscosity. Very sweet, but so very tasty right now.

Once again this showed great. Sweet but not cloying. Rich honeyed nose. Long finish. Glycerin coats the sidesof the glass. Sorry to say this is my last bottle from this vintage, but boy did they all perform well.

With takeout Chinese. Was going to open an Alsatian half-bottle, but went with this instead. I love thi wine! It's sweet but not cloying, easy to drink (not syrupy) and went very well with the food. Only two more half-bottles left

Sweet but not cloying. Agree with another taster's comment that it lacks acidity. Lush and rich, though. Bought one 375 from ABC to try. Will go back tomorrow for more

Rich sweet and complex. Almost has a bit of Sauternes character about it

Good, but not great, lovely peachy waxy taste, agree that there is not enough acidity here for long term, but enjoyable of the price.
