  • This was indeed very interesting and wound up quite good. I didn't have much hope at the start, but it loosened up a bit and became very interesting and quite enjoyable. Very fun to drink a 26 year old Fiano that was likely never meant to last this long, but it has, and it was fun. No formal notes taken, but we all enjoyed the experience.

  • Rich golden color, unusual buttersotch, honey, apricot, dusty old chest nose. Old flowers, candle wax, soft acidity, and broad, waxy palate. The disconnect between the sweetness on the nose and dry palate reminds me of dry tokaji, while the softness of the acidity and waxy flowers reminds me of old white Hermitage or something. Weird stuff, but kinda enjoyable for a 20 year old Fiano.
