  • French but no BBC: Sadly much nattier than my previous bottle, which overshadowed the fruit.

  • As usual, a very serious and weighty wine - normally I don't like this amount of manipulation but it comes together very well for Tissot. Lots of reduction on opening which blew off, clear oak signature with nutty notes. The acidity and concentration kept the wine in balance and I really liked the savoury finish on this.

  • Tremendous character. Vibrant, funky, tangy, intense, ageing effortlessly. Bottle age character is adding huge dimension, but the vibrancy of the wine is undiminished. This is Chardonnay with a different, superb.

  • Gorgeous and characterful chardonnay, with a considerable heavy toast oak component. This charred aspect is fully integrated and adds to the huge complexity of the wine. Acing well, with the hue moving into gold, but there is vibrant acid cut, alongside a round and supple fruit mid palate. Still retains its Jura style. A very successful wine that has tie up its sleeve...

  • Fint utviklet med gyllen farge. Smak av nedfallsepler. Meget god vin i forhold til prisen 199 kr i 2014. Har steget nesten 100 kr nå.

  • Bright golden. Typical ouillé Jura Chardonnay style rather on the lean side, on the nose petrol and lemon with a hint of oxidative notes, on the palate it starts a bit thin but improves with air, nice high acidity, medium bodied and long finish, quite linear compared with Les Bruyères 2011. Very good now (90-91), went well with pasta and porcini.

  • This has developed very nicely and is drinking beautifully at the moment. Nuts, lemons and a hint of cheese on the nose. Nice acidity, lemons and chalk on the palate. Some slightly meaty notes as well. Very complex and interesting (and slightly unusual). Great!

  • Made from organically grown grapes. Aged for 12 months in 228-liter oak pièces, of which 10% were new.

Quite deep and concentrated yellow-green color. Very dry and rather robust note with intense notes of both fruit and oak: there are aromas of toasty wood, pineapple, juicy red apples, some nuttiness, a little bit of exotic fruits, a hint of vanilla and a touch of steely minerality. The wine is quite light-bodied but also very intense and noticeably racy on the palate with bright flavors of ripe yellow apples, vanilla, pineapples, steely minerality, some waxy character, a little bit of savory woody character and a hint of tart lemony citrus fruit. The wine feels very structured with its bracingly high acidity. The finish is long, lean and steely with piercing flavors of tart green apples, lemon juice, some creamy notes, a little bit of herbal character and a hint of savory woody character.

A wonderfully lean, racy and nuanced Chardonnay with laser-like precision. I'm not usually a fan of these ouillé-style Jura Chardonnays, as I prefer the more oxidatively made wines; if I want racy Chardonnay, I look for Chablis or a cooler-vintage Côte d'Or white. However, this wine manages to combine Chablis-like intensity and minerality and Burgundian depth and complexity to this slightly waxy and distinctive Jura style with such effortless ease that I can't help but love this wine. Still very youthful and nervous, this wine definitely calls for further aging just to let it unwind. Delicious stuff, highly recommended.

  • Fyldig og smakfull.Bare et lite snev av det oksiderte preget til Tissot og andre juraviner. God lengde. Fantastisk chardonnay til 199 kr.

  • Tangy acids. The aroma and taste of Jura. Hazelnuts pervade the wine - most notably at the finish. Unusual and strong style - like a strange kind of chablis. Outstanding and reasonable value for money.

  • Jura tasting with Wink Lorch (Maison Vauron, Auckland, New Zealand): Subtle Jura oxi cut on the bight and juicy nose. High acid and mineral, light and unoaked. Masses of character with a steely intensity. Easy to drink and stylish.

  • Definitely not the very oxidized style of white Jura that I really am not a fan of. This has lemons, wet slate, a hint of anise, along with a subtle red Burg-like funk (which I really like). Nice acidity, and well balanced overall. Went nicely with tuna steaks. Interesting wine with a good QPR. I blame you Dr. Jura!

  • This is a fascinating wine. On the nose there is leather, nuts, lemons and a hint of stables. Very complex and interesting. On the palate it is very dry with a high lemony acidity and chalky minerality. Long, complex and good but a bit strange (especially on the nose).

  • At first very clinical, lemon and lime, kind of closed. Whiffs of caramel and toffee from time to time, tiny hint of ox. Restrained but with evident quality. Medium acidity, medium length.

  • Frisk og fin med fin syre. Krydret og nesten røykaktig lukt. Medium oksidert preg, smør, eik. Tørr og fyldig
