Big bold wine (14.5%) that goes well with roasts and marinated red meat. Mouth sensations of a riot of earthy dark fruit (black cherry, raspberry) and tannin. Surprisingly short finish. The fruit dissipates surprisingly fast once the wine is exposed to air.

This is a big red wine (14.5%). The different bottles have been uneven in how they tasted to me. The fruit is unusual to me, black cherry and licorice with minerality/pepper/tannin to my taste. Average finish. This wine would stand up to cooked meats.

Elusive black cherry fruit with a hint of spice. This wine must have been far better years ago when I first tasted it because I purchased so much of it.

The bottles from this purchase really bounce around in terms of quality. This bottle was excellent. Good nose and a very good blend of plum, black cherry and spice fruit. Super finish.

This is solid for the price. One is encouraged to "enjoy young" by the winery, but this has been kept safe for a number of years and is showing well. More mellow than a typical BIG Barossa wine, but really nice. Wouldn't let it go more than another year or two though.

A red blend of 78% Shiraz, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6 other varietals, this wine is reasonably priced around $20. Aerated but not decanted. Medium purple color. Raspberry, plum and floral notes on the nose. Soft, round structure with primarily dark plum, spice and earth on the palate. Supple, refined tannins. Ready to drink now. Nice value wine.

Nose of cherries, black pepper, leather. Tannins are soft and pronounced. This wine is drinking decent; yet, could still benefit by another few years in the cellar.

A tale from two days. Day one it was just a simple flat non descript wine. Medium body and mostly light red fruit flavors. Was more like a red yellowtail. Certainly not a Barossa style Cab-Syrah. Was totally disappointed. Almost threw the rest away but decided to see what resting for a day would do. Would have rated it 78. Day 2, had a major transformation. More full body with more dark fruits and decent midweek drinker. Would have rated 88. Not sure if I just got an off bottle but have another one to try.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, gooseberry, fig, mineral and black pepper. It tastes like blackberry, black pepper and mineral. The body is full. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity.

A good solid full body red. This young wine has big fruit and should age well for 2 to 5 years. It is OK now for BBQs and informal dinners. Better in the future.

Deep opaque red black color. Nose of pepper, black fruit and cooking spices. Red and black fruit opens on palate with integrated tannins and some spice on the back through the finish. Medium length finish. Quality matches its price.

High toned, peppery and briary aromas. Full bodied, with good length, richness, and intensity. Charred and jammy notes of blackberries, plums, sandalwood, and spices feel bright and lively from start to finish. 88+

Deep purple with a dusty red and black fruit font. It had a bit of a bite about midway on the front but it mellowed quickly with several swallows and became more balanced without that edge on the front. The mid-palate was heavy fruit with a slight sweetness. The finish was smooth with a slight tartness and a nice smooth and light tannin

This deep-to-opaque crimson "mutt" is a blend of 78% Shiraz, 11.4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3.5% Merlot, 3.1% Malbec, 2% Grenache, 1% Sangiovese, 0.5% Cabernet Franc and 0.5% Tempranillo. Intensely fruity and vibrant, it has a nice juicy core of boysenberry, anise, lavender and vanilla. Medium-to-full-bodied, fresh and with medium-weight, silky tannins, it is very easy to drink despite its youth. The alcohol (listed as 14.5%) is nicely integrated and the middle palate is solid. Medium in length and smooth at the back end, this is a wine which will likely be at its best over the next 4-5 years. Drink now-2019.
