Feels like this has peaked but interesting & pleasing to drink (bottle #2 anyway, #1 badly corked). Hints of nuts, citrus and honey, still some acidity. Started at cellar temp (55F) but chilling it down a bit made it taste fresher. Drink up.

Jonah's Whale Beach. 69 Bynya Road, Whale Beach, Sydney, Australia 2107 375ml.
Decanted 30 minutes. Mid-yellow translucent gold. Mild nose of beeswax and honey then white stone fruit from the glass. Smells like Vouvray. Medium body, medium tart citrus flavours to the fore. Underripe lemon/ lime, underlying honey provides a hint of sugar though this is not the focus. Finishes with mid palate tang, mineral cut and lemony lingering.

Really unfortunate. I love Huet with all my heart and their wines can be almost immortal. This one sadly had oxidized a little bit and wasn't showing it's best. Acids were still firm and the texture was surreal - perhaps in full bottles it's still showing as it should. If you have one to spare, I'd recommend testing it soon to see how your own cellar is treating this glorious wine.

Probably didn't show as well as it should have? Developed yellow, more like a riesling of the same age. Hard kero-like nose points to age but suggests 20 years, not 12. Lemon citrus and bitter lemon to taste, barely wine-like. I wonder if this was not well stored prior to my purchase?

Blind tasted and wrongly guessed a Chablis. Zesty nose with lemon and grapefruit rind. Extreme bitter lemon flavor with massive acidity, rapier like. Perhaps better on the second night where it became a focused light beam, sharp but warm...

Served right after opening. Nose suspicious of dry mushrooms. But mouth is straight , linear, fresh without flaw. Fine and mineral. Just a hint of honey and perhaps tilleul to show shy clues of chenin. Very good, but I think it has passed his colors, even if the structure is still very strongh. Matching very well pork rillettes.

Golden color. Limeston nose with some orange notes. Deep mid palate minerality. Good acidity. Short finish with some lime fruit notes. Not up the the level of the other Huet's tasted this day.

Toujours au top, un grand vin blanc sec, le chenin au sommet. On aurait pu l'ouvrir dans 30 ans.

WIML89. No formal notes. Tasted at an offline. Tasted from 375ml. Lovely little Vouvray. Quite enjoyable. Drink or hold.
