This port is either hit or miss. This bottle was a miss. Unpleasant and faded. Fruit is now like spoiled raisins. Perhaps it’s just over the hill now. I’ve had bottles that were rich and flavorful; not this one.

Shared with 8 tasters along with 1963 Wares, 1985 Dows vintage port. MFP had a great nose, rich ruby color, very smooth on the palate. Everyone loved them.

One of our favorite ruby port-style desert wines. It is a consistent crowd pleaser with newer port drinkers who just aren't ready for Tawny. Good standby desert wine.

A good not great solera style port. The zin doesn't really hold it's own against the brandy used for fortification and the brandy is just fair. Very hot and lacking in tannins.

This bottle seemed to have more to it than my last one. Popped and poured without decant.
color: Red to red brick
Memory not ideal on this one (consumed last night) but the balance of baked fruits to spice was decent. The wine was not overly sweet and there was nothing unplesant to it. I would enjoy this again

Someone brought this to the pre-holiday dinner, and I really wished they hadn't. The dessert, which was quite lovely on its own, was thrown under a bus when this was served alongside it. The bottle says 18% abv, yet it seems even that wasn't up to par. A pretty sad mess of a port, even for California. I really don't write many negative reviews, but this was just miserable.

Deep red with slight browning. Lots of sweet fig and raspberry fruit. Hot like Port but it also had a very dry finish although there was some sweetness there. I really enjoyed this California "Port". This bottle was released 20 or so years ago.

Sunday Night Wines and Pizza (Andy Velebil's Pad): Nose of baked and stewed plums. Sweet confectionery with not very pleasant flavors of overripe fruit. Pretty far from "Port" or Zinfandel for that matter.

Got several bottles almost four years ago...never opened, and when I did...the cork totally fell apart on me...double decant to clean the mess up. Dark and rich looking red with dark mahogony edge...nose of ripe dark plums with traces of dark berries and dark cherry...not in you face, rather unassuming, but nice. Very smooth and engaging with nice fruit and a light smokey nuance...alcohol tamed and in check...nice but no wow factor.

I'm not typically a port person but I have to say I really enjoyed this port . Tastes like a typical tawny port. Perhaps a little lighter in body than your standard port, but overall quite enjoyable.

The color is almost a brick red. On the nose the wine seems like it has seen quite a bit of new oak maturation. Pretty simple wine. Lots of alcohol. Ready to drink.

Opened this 8 year tawny port last night after an excellent meal at Iris. Light reddish color. After about 20 minutes in the glass, the port opened up considerably, with flavors of raisin, cherry, and a little tobacco. Offsetting was the nose - a little musty, though not corked.

Not a big Port guy, so it tasted just ordinary to me. We own them, so we'll drink 'em.

Cork absolutely disintegrated when I tried to open. Surprisingly, after some straining, the wine was fine. Sweet figgy taste.
