  • Decanted for 1h then back into bottle and to resto. Didn't really get to try this over the night that much. Was fairly tight early in the night..now day 2. Lovely aromas of pears, herbs, minerals, ripe apples. Palate w tart apples mixed with just ripe pears, loads of minerals, herbs, and a grapefruit pith component on midpalate. Outstanding acids on a medium+ body. Nice, lingering finish of acids, minerals, pears, and a bit of herbs. This is excellent now on day 2 and much better than day 1. This has plenty of life. Open next bottle in 2027 at 15 yes of age. I think it will be more open and expressive then. 92+

  • This was fantastic. Really an amazing wine. Thought with Weissburgunder, and the "community drink date" that it needed to go, and this was wrong: at least another 10 years' life on this wine.

  • A little spritzy at first, but settled and open after an hour. Weighty, polished, and nicely off-dry. Would have been good to spend more time with it.

  • Interesting. Rather muted at first, but then opens after 30 mins of air and warming a degree from fridge. Good mineral backbone, quite textured, some ripe-ish white fruits. I liked it but didn't love it, a bit anonymous.

  • I'm a big fan of this wine. Sometimes, like tonight, the nose can be a little muted, but overall this is an absolute delight to drink, providing a nice alternative to Riesling or white burgundy in our repertoire. The fruit is filigreed and pure, with plenty of "oomph" from the mineral backbone and acid structure. It almost gives the impression of sweetness - just a hint of a kiss - allowing for a broad range of food pairings. A pleasure to drink, with food or without. Note - I enjoyed this slightly colder than I usually like my whites, though not fully chilled.

  • Not very expressive nose, some stone fruit and flint. On the palate it exposes much more of the sweet ripe pears, fine oak and mighty minerality. The apparent sweetness is balanced by the fresh acidity. The grapes that went into this wine had surely felt a warm ripening period, full as it comes with 14 %. You don't feel the alcohol directly but it gives an extra sweetness and viscosity to the mouthfeel. It may also have a bit of residual sugar. Nice but definitely requires food. Not the most elegant but the flinty minerality really gives it a lift. Slightly bitter (grapefruit) finish.

  • OMG, this is complex, minerals in layers, wow. Nose not crazy, but rest of package is an insane QPR.
