A bit perplexing as I enjoyed it overall, yet with more age wine has become somewhat tropical and funky. Still good, but was hoping for more brioche vs apricot.

Chilled, popped and poured. Really fresh nose of red apples, lemons, cream and a hint of toffee. Really great acidity and mouthfeel, with a more honeysuckle, biscuit and mint-like finish on the palate. Really vibrant, fruity and yet textured and layered at the same time. Superb.

Been a member with Schramsberg for about 4 years now and have been impressed with every wine I’ve had from them so far. I believe they are a SOLID competitor to any Champagne in comparable and even higher price points. This one is no different. At 14 years old, it’s in its prime right now. Still fresh enough to think this one has another 3-5 years left, maybe more.
Beautiful deep golden color. Nose of honey, baked apple pie, sweet rolls, maybe a slight bit of lemon drop. Palate is creamy and rich with a long finish.
Great value for the price point.

Merry Christmas to me! Complex, mature wine that is drinking like a champ. Light gold hue. Baked apples, clove, cinnamon and fresh bread notes. Long finish with some honey.

Christmas Day 2020. Beautiful deep golden color. Cloves, orange, brioche, golden raisins. Great acidity and body. Flowers and citrus during an extended finish. Drinking wonderfully now but probably has a few years left.

Wow, this bottle is in a great spot. While this wine has always been a little too sweet for my preferences, today it seems nicely balanced. There is definite sweet strawberry, but I was eating local strawberries so who cares?! Age has been kind; the nutty, yeasty quality adds interest. There are hints of melon and a hint of lemon curd. Tight bubbles and balanced acidity rounds out the finish.

This was a nice sparkler that was showing signs of maturity. There was still a strong bead of bubbles which lingered after pouring. I detected apple and some toast on the palate. A very enjoyable wine.

Pretty good strawberry and some lighter, less severe watermelon notes here. The wine has a nose with a lot of sweeter strawberry and nutty notes. Enters with tiny bubbles all around, coating the glass and your mouth. The finish is VERY mildly tart and quite dry. Overall I think this wine is doing great, especially given its roots. Very well balanced sparkler. Takes me back to touring and tasting in the cave.

Nice fresh crisp texture and flavors of pears and apples with subtle mineral finish. Big bristly bubbles at this stage keeps it quite refreshing and fun, but limits the elegance. Nice wine will give my last bottle more time.

Schramsberg Vineyards Tour & Tasting (Schramsberg Vineyards): A new bottle after our tour guide determined the first bottle to be off and not drinkable. A Chardonnay-driven blend containing 13% Pinot Noir. Aromas of vanilla cream soda and yeast. Deep mushroomy oxidized overtones- too much so for what's here. Apple, caramel and mushroom flavors.

Jschram is the flagship for US sparkling. And in my opinion is on par with the greatest French champagnes. This was my first taste of the new 06. Fantastic. Darker golden yellow color ,Yeasty biscuit nose as usual but very fruit forward with a unique mix of mouth coating pear and pineapple but acidity and tartness of apple... and the tiniest of bubbles. Beautiful and delicious but I would say it is slightly below the 05. Highly recommended
