Itaian Wines (Farpointe Cellar): This was one of the those wines with a great nose that did not follow through to the palate. The were aromas of raspberry, and cherry, along with hints of rose petal, vanilla, and cedar. The palate was very smooth, but the cedar tastes overpowered the cherry tastes. The tannins were very sofy, but the finish was not very long at all.

Dark ruby color. Nice fruity nose of dark fruits and strawberries. Medium-bodied with good acid and virtually no tannins. Lots of fruit, hints of herbs and a good vibrant freshness. A good but somewhat anonymous wine. Perfect with veal, giant ravioli al funghi and a tomato sauce. Excellent QPR at USD 10. Rating: 87

Nice medium dark colour. The bouquet is straigthforward with dark cherries. Nice taste with primary fruit balanced by a little touch of acid. Went very well the home made Pizzas. Good value for 8-10 €.

It may be past it's prime but it drank like a much heavier bodied wine. Thick cherry, earthy mouth with a soft leather to grape finish.

Nice drinker with pasta w/red sauce, but nothing very special. Agree with other comments about not living up to its nose.
