Drank on our wedding night. The dark fruits really popped and of course went down silky smooth. It could lay down an extra year or two and still be fantastic.

This was a great bottle, from begining to end. Not decanted but consumed over ~4 hours. First sips taken while preparing dinner and the last...well, ~4 hours later.
Bought this based on reputation, but never having tried the wine before. What a great decision. Probably better as it opened up, but fantastic throughout. Kudos to Villa Creek on an excellent product, from begining to end.

Popped, aerated and drank over 2 nights. Cherry fruit on the nose. Bright fruit on the palate, with enough acidity to work well with food. Peppery finish.

Popped and poured at local restaurant. Really nice nose with cherry and raspberry fruit. A bit tart on the palate initially, but smoothed out quickly. Long finish with earthiness and pepper notes.

Like so many other examples of grenache from Paso recently, this is very ripe and rich. Tart pomegranite, raspberry, and licorice flavors are quite forward but are buffered by smoked meats and spices. Good weight with a soft and chewy mouthfeel. Lots of peppery spice on the sweet and sappy finish. This comes across a bit warm and bulky for a grenache - I prefer them to be a little brighter and juicier

Tasted on the second day after opening. Pure, rich, lush and delicious. There are two grapes that Cris manages as well as anyone - Grenache and Tempranillo. [He's deft with Syrah and Mourved as well].

Wow, this bottle did not show well. Decanted for 30 minutes and served at 60 degrees. This showed some sweet raspberry and red licorice with a bit of balsalmic and spice but was dominated by chunky, drying tannins and oak flavors. I don't really expect/appreciate new wood in my grenache, and don't remember this wine ever showing like this (probably the 3 or 4 time I've had it). Very rich with a med+/full body with good acidity - definitely not my style of grenache.
Both the wife & I agreed on this one. Not scored as this seemed atypical but if I had it would be in the low 70's. I have another bottle so I'm hoping this was an anomoly.

Tasting room pour. Red fruits & licorice with rose petals, smoked meats, and spices and with a splash of cherry cola on the mid palate. Moderate grain, soft but chewey tannins, moderately bright acidity, medium length. Tasty stuff

Absolutely delicious ! We were really not expecting this 11 year old wine to have held up so well. No notes.

Tasty cherry fruit and a very enjoyable wine, but tough to judge it compared to a 2009 Booker Vertigo with which we had it, which was fantastic.

Fruit forward, yet balanced with a warm soft mouth feel. Light bacon fat with Mediterranean spice.
