Very light with still some fruit coming through. Traditional style zin as it is not harsh (overly alcoholic) nor jammy or prune like. The color was light and cloudy but still a very nice wine.

The wine is a light ruby red, almost rust in color. 15.2% ABV. Jammy aromatics of blueberries and strawberries. Licorice, pepper, briar and plums on the palate. Elegant and balanced with soft tannins. Textbook "claret style" Zinfandel. Beautiful wine. Note to self...buy more Zinfandel from Williams Selyem.

Strange wine. Poured off a glass and let it set for an hour. Started off disjointed and some unpleasant flavors. Then it mellowed out and became a beautiful wine with blueberry and rasberry in a very smooth wine. I am not sure what to make of this- whether their zins can age or not; I guess I'll try with a few more. Though, they are fun early on.

Zibibbo Doug and gang--I am not convinced with these Selyem zins. Something is off. The fruit/oak/acid doesn't seem well integrated.. lots of jagged edges. Very fruity and ripe, but a strange "1 dimensional" feeling...

drinkable but past its peak -- fruit is tasting more stewed or overripe now. Decanting helps.

Took awhile to open up then had muted fruits but a good balance and nice taste. Still probably past past its prime.

Lot's of fruit remain in this Zin after 9 years. While this wine is pretty one dimensional, it is still a very tasty wine.

Enjoyed with barbecue ribs and chicken; surprising sophistication and balance; still has fruit, but soft for zin; very solid effort
