Golden color, very full bodied with rich fruit feel, some butter andoak, and long sweet finish. 2013 vintage probably past its prime by 2019, as it was getting too sweet with some raisin notes in the finish.

Light gold color, clear, abundant legs. Complex, fruity, earthy but not woody nose. Full body, dense flavor, very hot mouthfeel, very long aftertaste. Off-dry but well balanced by acidity and a touch of bitterness in the finish. Very fruity, ripe peach, muscat grapes. Delicious wine, certainly better had we drank earlier.

Big tropical citrusy fruits on initial nose. Calms down to heavy flat acetyl flavors of caramel/butterscotch. On sale for $14, happy to have tried due to their pleasant pinot noir, won't buy again.

Probably not a repeat purchase. No score left as under the screw cap, it looked like brown syrup. Oxidation? Color in glass was a beautiful light gold. Cotton candy and tropical fruit aromas; med bodied with similar flavors along with lemon curd. Plenty of people will like this but I'm not one of them. And there's nothing wrong with that! 84 ish points.

The wine is greenish-gold in color. Pretty much mid-stalk area of lemongrass. It smells of lemon, honeydew, and garden hose while tasting of papaya, lemon and straw. It's medium bodied with a satin-like texture. I would say the acidity is slightly higher that it should be for a good balance.

Tropical on the nose. Initial flavors include papaya, lychee, and passion fruit. Secondary notes develop quickly revealing butter and tart peach. Finishes with lemon and spice. I find the many lackluster reviews surprising; this is a fun Chardonnay that combines and showcases the variety of styles found in California. It is worth a try.

Same notes as 9/10/15, I could almost give this a 90. Really fine Chard. As I understand it, Chuck Wagner has sold Meiomi, so any vintages past 2013 will be questionable...for both the Pinot and Chard, get it while you can.

The wine has low acidity. It smells like clove, melon, apple, oak and pineapple. The wine finishes short. It tastes like clove, apple blossom, pear, apple, melon and pineapple. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine has smooth texture.

Medium golden hue. Nose of warm citrus and spiced apple. Medium to full bodied, but not held together by the right texture or flavor of butter; an incorrect edge of caramel and nougat is there. Not sufficiently acidic to make it that way, either, as the heft of spice and sweeter citrus weigh it down. It's a decent wine. But I was disappointed, found it average...below average for the price tag.

Aromas of oak, tropical fruit and spice. Very heavy in the mouth, this toes the line of being over the top with flavors of tropical fruit, tangerine and a spiciness. Actually may need time to settle down for my tastes, reminds me of a dumbed down Albert in its youth.

Has grapes from our 3 favorite Chardonnay areas (Sonoma, Monterey, Santa Barbara), each with their own characteristics. The blended sum is better than the parts. The oak, while restrained is present...none of the "buttery oak" with overoaked Chards. Did taste citrus and tropical fruit notes. Definitely not over-acidic, not an alcohol bomb. For $20 or under, this is a good choice for a Cali Chardonnay and is likely widely available.

Nice. Don't find the metallic finish described by other tasters. Light oak makes this a refreshing option vs. over-oaked cousins coming out of Napa. Perfect wine for a hot day poolside.

I'm not seeing the tropical notes or complexity described by several. Instead, it's rather plain, fat, overoaked with a rather odd, bitter, mineralized (in the unpleasant sense) finish. surprising as their pinot is pretty solid.
Improved dramatically on day 2, but still won't buy again

Ripe, tropical, and buttery aromas of jack fruit, citrus, toast, and a pleasant floral aspect. So unctuous and fat, yet not out of line, this feels velvety in the mouth, with ample acidity to counter the rich flavors that match the nose. Dried herbs and a medicinal note creep up on the broad finish.

Very good. Bright, golden color. Crisp apples on the nose. Tart (a bit too much for my taste) flavor -- a hint of butterscotch but not the butter coating I like: lemon finish.
