  • Made in a fruit forward, somewhat jammy style. Fairly weighty, good tasting.

  • This was on sale at the San Mateo BevMo for $13.95 and having seen the WS review (92 pts) of the 2011 vintage, I decided to give it a try. A youthful-looking deep purple in color, lightening a bit at the edge. Subdued aromas of dark fruits, earth and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Medium-to-full-bodied and very smooth, with loads and loads of ripe, sweet fruit. Shows nice depth and length, but this is essentially a plum and raspberry fruit bomb. The smooth finish features velvety tannins, though it is just a bit too sweet. Not exceptional, but nonetheless quite enjoyable - especially for the price.
