Tasted blind. Starts out a bit weird and I can't even seem to guess the grape correctly. It's flying all over the place. But after a while in the glass it kind of lands. On a field made of green grass, whipped cream, gooseberries and lots of gentle and velvety creamy fruit. Very good. Really enjoyed this one.

So much like a developed, complex champagne on both the nose and palate that I struggle for words to describe it more clearly than that. Mature, yellow fruit and candied sugar on the nose, even some chalk. On the palate there's more of that champagne feeling and the acidity is there to match, a lemon, melon, white currant and minerally chslky thing with an oily feeling and a really long lasting taste. It is only the fact that I can sense a bitter alcohol at the end that prevents me from going even higher in my grade. Definitely ready to drink, could probably last a few more years but I struggle to think there could be much more positive development to cone.

Golden straw yellow color. Nose is a bit dominated by industrial woodpolish. The palate is much better. Powerful, intense and lots of fruitiness dominated by ripe melons. After a couple of hours of air it gets even better and the nose calms down. There is still a strange aspect lying over both the nose and palate, pulling the wine a bit down for me. Still very good though.

(at Gramercy Tavern – NYC) Perfect wine with cheese. Very lightly oxidative but the purity of the fruit and ample structure shines through. Shows a bit less individual character than other bottlings but delicious. (90)

I didn't mean to open this, wanted to wait another 5 yrs or so, but just terrific. salty, acidic, balanced, slightly oxidated. perfect with roast chick.

Klar, gyllen gul. Frisk, spisset syre. Aromatisk og mineralsk utgang med utpregede nøttetoner. Sitter svært lenge i.

Fanfantastisk! 91p.

I've always been wary of the savagnins, worried that they were made in some oxidative style (I like my white wine green acid fresh, thank you very much). Took a flyer on this one and boy, am I impressed. This is basically a bottle of Krug without bubbles, if a little dialed down on the intensity. The nose has a dominant aroma of baked apples, as well as a bit of soap, and bread. The palate is quite lush and rich -- this is certainly ripe but totally held in check by the mouth-watering acidity. Quite mineral, with the notes of apples again and a hint of smoke. The finish reminds me a lot of sambuca. Really good, count me a fan of Fan-fan.

Solid bottle. Fruit slightly more prominent than last time. There's a bit of sweetness that balances the high acidity. Delicious.

Blind. Tropical, big bodied, fresh, not much primary fruit.

Strågul med kandisert sukker og moden gul frukt på nesen. Sitrus og mineraler, fin syre og laaang smak.

Absolutely fantastic. Slitghtly oxidative style but very fresh on the palate. Great acididity that keeps the liquid vibrant. Finishes puckery.

Ganske lik flasken for ett år siden. Topp dag 1, nesten bare honning på nesen dag 2. Dag 1: 91p.
