Still holding on. An aromatically interesting medium bodied claret that screams Bordeaux, but is not crazily complex. This was double-decanted. If you have any left, I recommend drinking it in the near term. This was our last, and it was a pleasure to drink, in a restrained old-school way.

Just keeps getting better. Had the last bottle at a dinner with a friend. What a revelation. Rich, smooth, balanced. Dark purple. Dark fruit with chocolate undertones. Integrated tannins. Long finish. Should cellar for an additional 5 years but I estimate the wine is peaking now. Unbelievable value. Wish I could find more of the 2010

Not much here from my point of view. That said, I must admit that I'm not recently a fan of middling Bordeaux. Though I am a fan of Pessac-Leognan. This does not have the tight, clear beam of thin fruit and prodigious structure that I am looking for and used to in a Pessac. It's not bad, but it ain't great.

Agree with Epiphany. Similar experience. This was an old WTSO steal that has only gotten better with time. It has integrated well without losing it's backbone. Was an excellent with grilled top sirloin steak. Glad I have one left!

My last bottle and what a nice surprise. This wine has smoothed out and gained elegance though has plenty of structure on the back end to keep for a few more years. Great WTSO purchase several years ago.

Overextracted and one-dimensional, this wine would strike you in a blind tasting as some new-world, factory-produced, Parker-style blockbuster, and I suppose that's what the makers were striving for here. Sure, made in France--but there's not a trace of French terroir. Just mouth-filling fruit, too much alcohol, and only one dimension, lacking nuance or subtlety, with a slightly acrid finish. This is a leftover from my WTSO days--a cheap and interesting way to develop one's palate, before one outgrew it.

What a pleasant surprise! I discovered this beauty on a recent trip to Bordeaux looking for a reasonably priced (<$50), drinkable left bank red from 2010 to serve with dinner. This wine is from Pessac-Leognan, located in the northern part of Graves. It is Cabernet Sauvignon based and blended with Merlot. The wine is a deep, dark purple and has a nose of dark berries, cigars, eucalyptus and sage. This is dense with flavors of dark berries, mocha, tobacco a hint of cherry on the backend. The merlot renders this approachable and delicious right now. There are good tannin with strong fruit in good balance. Full bodied and long finish. This is a terrific wine and an excellent value, drinking exceptionally well now but should drink well for 10+ years.

Excellent QPR. Decanted for an hour and drank over 3 hours. Typical Bordeaux aroma and profile. Big tannis that carried out through the night. Looking forword how this will age over the next decade.

Opened this on Valentine's Day, but only had a glass. Revisiting 4 days later. Dark fruit. Lively acidity, well integrated tennis. 20-25 second finish. Some menthol, vanilla, very smooth. Solid value. Ready to drink.

Very dark with a fine ruby edge, rich and layered aromas of dark fruits, tobacco and slight dust, hint of strawberries. Graphite on the palate with summer fruits, then powerful tannins and a long finish that in the end returns to dark fruit. Changes over the evening, softens as it opens up but remains deep and intense. Probably better after cellar years but could not wait and the price was right. My first CT post, maybe inspiration will strike again--certainly did here.

I just love this wine. The depth of structure is really great if your patient with the bottle once opened. This is a bottle to savor over an evening. Agreed on the aging potential. Just bought four more to see how it evolves.

Wow, this is good and only $17.50 on WTSO. Wine is rich and full with dark spicy fruit and has a medium finish. Tannins are silky. There is really good structure for a long life. Best buy in a while. Will save my remaining 3 bottles to see how it goes in the cellar. Can't wait.

Almost two years to the day and another bighorn sheep roast, funny. Still good, no drop off at all.
