Dark, inky, purple. Medium legs. Nose is not overpowering and smells of cherries. Hints of red grape and blackberry on the palette. Let it breathe for 30 minutes. Awesome with smoky cheeses.

Opaque mid purple. Nose is closed tight. I was amazed to find almost no perceptible aromas when served at 55 deg. The nose opened up only slightly after spending time in the glass.
On the palate, the fruit is firmly in the driver seat. Blueberry and cherry jam, vanilla and chocolate. Full bodied, low acid and weirdly sticky tannins. Simple but so eminently enjoyable one feels compelled to overlook its faults.

tastes cheap and grapey at first, but grows on you, especially considering $13 price. Once past the sweet entry, good medium tone profile. Update: another bottle was leaner, no reason to drink again.

On the nose very moderate aromas which are hard to describe at this moment. However stony mineralogy is there and perhaps dark spicy berries. On the palate much more is happening. For me similar to many St. Emilion bottles. Great balance, perfectly lively acidity and dense flavors of black cherries, forest fruits, little earthiness and spices on a long lingering finish. Definitely has good ageing potential but I already enjoy it.

A nose of cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Merlot, with blackberry, cherry, dusty chocolate and spice on finish, a very good QPR. www.winelx.com

Mild, tannic, a bit rustic, medium bodied, low acid, OK albeit slightly hot, tannic finish. On the fruity side, but not the fruit "bomb" I hoped for. But still an OK daily quaffer.

Really like it right out of the bottle. I always taste an ounce and then let the rest of a wine decanter for a half hour or an hour. Love the silky deep profile from first taste.

Nice wine for the price, $11 a bottle at Costco, and a lot of character. Smooth blackberry taste, with hints of creme de cocoa and vanilla, and a pronounced taste of mint.

Blue and black fruit profile on the nose, very pleasant. On the palate, it's a smooth blueberry/blackberry taste with chocolate on the finish. Nothing complex, but a consistent weekday quaffer.

Decent wine, which gets better the longer it's open. However, I think it's a little too jammy and sweet. I actually prefer the regular Columbia Crest Grand Estates Merlot.

Oog: Helder, intens, kersenrood, matige doorzichtigheid, gevulde meniscus, grote viscositeit, veel gekleurde tranen.
Neus: Zuiver en intens, aroma van zwarte bes, vlierbes, rijpe kersen, gestoofde pruimen, herfstgeur, champignons, potloodslijpsel, zachte houttoets, tabak, laurier, kruidnagel, vanille, leder.
Mond: krachtig mondvullend met zeer ronde zachte tannines. Evenwichtige afdronk van 5-6 sec. Perfect op dronk.
Gerecht: Rood vlees met champignons en roomsaus.

Smooth well balanced Washington state Merlot. Better that average QPR year after year.

Outstanding value. Very smooth, well balanced, dark fruit and tobacco flavors. Paired well with Christmas Eve pot roast.

Third or fourth bottle for me. A consistent crowd pleaser. Dark fruit with a long pleasant aftertaste of chocolate, vanilla, and mint.
