It has pretty much everything, a whole fruit bowl in the bouquet, along with clove and cardamom, that SLH tang on the palate along with the candied cherry, lifted, alcohol covered, and a nice long finish. Not feeling its age in the slightest, wish I could get more. Fruitier than the 2012 but both were pure pleasure.

Nice pop for a Loring zin. Consumed over 2 nights and wow was it fruity night #2. Nice structure, grip, tannins while having a leading edge of polished red fruit.

Drinking perfectly for a juicy and bold Pinot. It has a lot more structure and elegance than say a Bell Glos Las Alturas, but this is a big boy Pinot no doubt

Dark ruby color. Black cherry and plum fruit that's just this side of tasting cooked. A little of the SLH dirt and funk toward the middle, and then a pleasant finish. I like this one, but it's on the edge of being too over the top for my taste.
3/24/2019 The last bottle must have somehow been a little corked (yeah, I know, no cork) or I was sick or something. None of that funky middle this time and fruit was rich & bright, not the least bit cooked. Rating reflects this bottle.
12/14/2020 Fruit is still rich and bright. Pleasant bit of Pinot funk. My biggest criticism was that the finish is quite short. Good for a cocktail and held up surprisingly well to apple-braised chops.

Dark ruby color. Needed 15 minutes or so for the alcohol to blow off the top before it was recognizable - some in the group thought it tasted "cooked"; others thought corked. After settling down, black cherry, cola and spice on the nose and palate. Chewy and dense (for a pinot), with black and blue fruit mid-palate and on the finish. Have had this experience with SLH before. Depending on vintage, these pinots can be heavy and sweet. Definitely our experience with this offering.

Noticeable tannic structure for a Pinot, but rich dark boysenberry, blackberry and plums and a touch of black cherries also stand out. The wine could use more time since minerals and tannins are so forward today.

A nose of black cherry and spices, medium ruby in color. A medium to full bodied red, with black cherry, raspberry, some Dr. Pepper and spices on finish, expected more from this vineyard. www.winelx.com

It’s just like a lovely box of candy. Nicely wrapped, very sweet, and plenty of fruit flavors. As a Pinot Noir, I’m not so sure. I don’t disagree with the flavours people note about this wine, but caveat emptor, my friends. It doesn’t taste like Pinot Noir at all. I’m sure it would make a nice aperitif over ice.
First tasting on 10/30/2015: Tart cherry, cranberry, Hot Tamales candy (cinnamon) and cardamom. Light oak shows through after a few hours. Supple and lingering. Delicious now, but the remaining bottle will sit for another year. Second/latest tasting: Orange peel is added to above. Slight bricking---drink up!

What I call a "pretty" Pinot. Lovely light body and texture, with gobs of Cranberry, Strawberry, Pomegranate and Orange zest notes. I don't know what it would do with more bottle age but I have another to keep in the cellar. I was just ready to try this after holding it for awhile. Very, very good.

Well done. Drinking this from one of the Riedel Oregon Pinot Noir glasses, which are huge. Ripe with spice....but as usual with good balance. Enjoy these wines more from the larger Pinot Noir glasses.

Consistent with previous bottle tasted in June, 2015. Dark crimson in color, this wine shows well focused and intense aromas of raspberry, black cherry and cardamom. The mouth feel was firm with hints of minerals, wild cherry, firm acidity and medium tannins. The finish was long in length with intense red/black fruits that intertwined beautifully with the copious levels of acidity. A winner.
Purchased for $45US, this is a gorgeous offering that is already drinking well now. I'll definitely look for more of this. Bravo.

PnP from a 375. Similar to July but deeper and richer with the cherry taking on a more tart black cherry aspect.
