actually 89.5 :-). Lovely wine, cassis, pepper, black cherry. Lots of fruit and alcohol, but moderate tannin and acidity make it a nicely balanced wine. Long long finish.

Well, my P.O.S wine cooler is broken (again) so I drank this at 74 F. A big jammy powerhouse, this wine definitely delivers for $13. However, I can't shake the feeling that something is not right here. Had I tasted this blind I would have guessed a manipulated CA cab. This wine is like a woman who looks great at the dance but once you get her home and turn the lights on, you understand why she was willing to come home with you. With only $13 in your pocket though, you could have done worse.

Big, spicey. dark, jammy, and rich. But somewhere along the way you begin to believe you are being manipulated. The wine speaks more of the winemaker's art than the location.

screwcap, popped and poured. Inky purple color, nose mostly muted. Mouthfeel is full bodied. Palate offers sweet black fruits, licorice, some smoke. Acidity and tannins are barely present, but on the plus side alcohol isn't showing at all. This is acceptable for a $12 shiraz. But its not like any of the higher level Kilikanoon wines - where all these elements are much bigger.

This was a really nice bottle of wine. It was wonderful from the beginning galss until the last glass. Very jammy, smooth tannins and a nice finish.

Dinner party wine. Great match with jerk spiced pork ribs on the BBQ, with sweet corn and black bean salsa.

Very nice QPR Shiraz. Powerful, but not monolithic, in my opinion.

Jammy, monolithic, and hot. Not undrinkable, but silly and boring.

Decent depth, nice grip and structure but the fruit is a bit lacking, a little closed. Will try the next night and see if it opens up.
