Our last bottle of this wine was flawed, tasted as if it was cooked. This bottle, from the same shipment, was in perfect condition and drinking excellent. Had great balanced flavors and a wonderful finish. It went perfectly with our turkey vegetable soup, made with homemade turkey bone broth, as well as the cranberry muffins.

I'm glad I waited on this bottle, which was in a club shipment five years ago. I only wish I had more. This is in a good place now, drinking like a CdP Grenache(-driven) wine with age on it. So warm and inviting with spices, it still shows the bright berry red fruit, but now with some caramelized and roasted notes. This has real fullness and understated power and is very pure.
We had this on its own and with modestly-spiced grilled chicken, but you could have this with a hearty stew with red wine sauce. This would be a great wine to have by the fireplace.

Unfortunately, this 2013 bottle was bad. It had a very bad syrupy taste, and not in a good was. The wine had significant bricking in it's color beyond what a 2013 should have. TCV vintage chart says this wine should still be drinking youthful. We had to dump this after a couple of sips - too bad.
Early Father’s Day dinner with W&S. This beauty held its own against the 2012 Turley Pesenti Zin also served. Almost creamy on the palate, the berry- and rose-flecked bouquet opened up after an hour in the glass (probably should have decanted). This offers more of a floral component than other TC Grenache offerings we’ve had. Wildflowers, roses, raspberries and strawberries, finishing with a beguiling anise note. Drink now (with decant) to 2030. Outstanding.

Sorry this is my last bottle. Just an elegant wine. Great fruit, soft tannins, wish the ABV was a bit lower, but a great example of what this fruit can do in West Paso.

This wine has really blossomed. It has much more body and fullness than it did at release. Beautiful sparkle to color, strawberry flavors and a depth of body that is just beginning to approach some of the old vine Spanish Grenaches. Great effort by TCV.

While light-bodied in appearance, this delicious wine had stewed red fruit aromas, with a little smoke, earth, and sage. Nice acidity hits the front of the palate, followed by more red fruit, warm Asian spice, and moderately drying tannins. The finish continues with the acidic fruit and tannins. I would suggest serving very, very slightly chilled.

15.5% abv but neither jammy nor hot. Best flavor at 60 F. True to a racy Grenache profile, translucent red with some brightness. Red fruits, green peppercorn spice, and a background of armchair leather following a decant and several hours of air. Just right with grilled lamb. Not much complexity now but will taste again in 3-5 years.

Grows nicely with time out of the bottle -- peaked about 30-60 minutes out -- nice range of flavors, I agree a bit weaker than other vintages for Grenache, but still already drinking well -- could benefit from waiting still longer, but we did enjoy it at this stage --

Classic Grenache. Beautiful sparkling red color, typical of Grenache. This vintage of this wine from TCV, at least this bottle, was a bit thinner than usual. Pair with foods you would with PN.

One of my daughter's favorite wines. Light, but flavorful. Goes well with most meals that a PN might be chosen with. I would sit on this wine a bit longer. Still has some life left. 2013 was the 2nd or 3rd year of the drought and the intensity shows.

Red currant jam on the nose. Palate has a hint of meaty flavor with big red fruit and a edgy acid. Finishes a bit hot and sharp but tannins linger. Drinking better on night two.

Garnet red color, very clear. Bright red berries on the nose. Wine tasted very similar to its aroma profile, red fruits, tangy acidity. Paired with halibut tacos, very food friendly in line with the Tablas Creek style.
While good overall, I was a bit disappointed in this wine as it had a slightly off-dry finish and seemed a bit out of balance, perhaps picked at markedly higher brix than past vintages?

Light-medium bodied. Prominent flavors of ripe strawberry (almost fermented strawberry) and fresh cherry with a pleasantly complex finish (allspice, cinnamon, some earth). This is a versatile wine which paired well with light Mexican food (pork and tomatillo soup with corn tortillas). Could also see it pairing with roasted chicken, seared scallops, or pork tenderloin.

Bright medium ruby. Balanced, but tending toward slight sweetness. The raspberry notes predominate. We were hoping for more complexity than this delivered over three nights. Maybe this will benefit from a couple more years of age.

Second Sunday Group: Domestic Grenache (Frank's): Notes of red fruit, pepper and clay. The palate follows the bouquet. Nicely balanced and enjoyable, if not particularly complex or interesting.

Darker and more generous than the 2012, but nevertheless with a similar red fruited and energetic profile. Bright cherry/raspberry which is a little overstated. Despite 15% alcohol the wine is not "hot" but cool and firm. Beautiful tannins, without the green stemminess sometimes in evidence in full bore cool climate Grenache, and premium CdPs as well. Some pepper.
Once tasted difficult to resist or put down. This is the sort of character I'd like to see more of in the Cotes de Tablas. I think the Grenache vines are starting to show their potential.

Really nice wine. Medium bodied, lots of dark fruit, spice, some cedar and anise. A touch closed even after an hour in decanter. Flourished once open for a few hours.

Light-medium ruby. Legs are slow, small. Very pure varietal fruit in the nose; textbook with Provençal herbs and garrigue like you don't find in many American wines. Strawberry. Ire beam of fruit on the palate. Nice balance, chewy with good grip and light tannins. Long finish. Nothing complicated about this wine, it offers unabashed fruit flavors in a pretty package. 4-12-17-8: 91/100.

Grenache is the 2nd most planted grape in the world. 80% of CndP is planted to Grenache. 'Grenache has front palate tannin, Mourvedre has mid palate tannin, Syrah is back palate tannin.' has a lot of dark chewy cherry aromas to the nose. palate shows medium tannin, which feel rather substantial for Grenache. has a chewiness and a meatiness to the palate.
