PnP from 1/2 bottle with less than ideal Szechuan fare. With some air, revealed some pretty good, enduring fruit. Fully mature - even on the down slope, but with enough freshness to give pleasure. Nice with tea smoked duck.

Resolved and ready, just a little bricking around the rim. A lovely nose which has plenty of development and red fruits, the palate is tasty but maybe missing a bit of depth. Probably at its peak but will hold for a little while yet

First bottle I've opened in five or six years - showing much better now. Classical and correct, although not generous, presentation of camphor, bacon, pepper, tapenade, and cranberry. Sparks any spice in food- i.e., there is plenty of acid and a little remaining tannin. Good plus. Not for long keeping: now through 2016.

Red center, some aging on rim, short legs. Raspberry, meat, herbs, some sweetness. Minerals, acidity and tannin, cherries, dusty, stewed fruit, nutty, good length. Drink now with food, fruit won't outlast tannin and acid, light but good cote rotie.

Tasting Group Dinner (Craig's House): Great nose. The palate shows mature, nicely concentrated black cherry fruit, with well-displayed secondary flavors including forest floor, green olive, smoke, and black pepper. Intensely earthy character, from the nose through to the finish -- you can practically taste the dirt in the glass. Well-resolved tannins. Mature and holding on well.

Fragrant, multi-dimensional, peper, crushed red fruit, granite, beefstock and flowers; juicy, stylish, firm tannins; good tension and length. Now - 2013.

Nose of rich bacon fat and black olive tapenade, but the wine has a cider like astringency on the palate, with sharp and tart flavors. Must be a bad bottle as the flavors - olives, cassis, etc - revealed something quite charming.

A bit of funk which blew off and the wine was delightful. Soft and delicate. Certainly at its peak and I would not hold this any longer.

Swampy and musty when first opened. Came around a bit with a lot of air, but still muddled and dirty like a wine made with too many rotten grapes.

Raspberries, earthy and ethereal at the same time, elegant but decadent, a very naughty wine.

Deep but on the decline, this was a well-intergrated wine but not up to par for dear.
