Nose is floral, rich, creamy melon with touches of grapefruit and honeysuckle. Palate is the same with a noticeable sweetness that is easily forgotten as the first glass empties. The mild acid and tartness balance the sweetness fairly well. You better meter yourself with this wine because you'll want to drink lots of it.

Norwegian Cruise Line by the glass list (quick impressions) (Jade): Typical gooseberry on the nose and zing on the palate. Very unidimensional and quite boring. Medium finish of gooseberry, citrus, and not much else. A bit less exciting than your average inexpensive prototypical NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Okay.

Grapefruit over tropical fruitiness, peach, pineapple sweetness. A light & crisp lemony Marlborough with slight tart-iness & lightly fizzy. Short lingering harshness aftertaste and perceived spice that follows. Saltiness on lips.

Tropical fruit on the nose. On the lighter side of medium bodied and with a flavor profile mainly showing soft, open tropical fruits and a short finish. This wine needs quite a bit more acidity to balance out the fruit for starters. It was also lacking in complexity through the middle and in length on the finish. Especially disappointing considering the vintage. Granted, this isn't an expensive wine, but when you can pay just $4 or $5 more and get an exceptional New Zealand sauvignon blanc, I find it hard to recommend this wine, even at the low price point.

Very intense gooseberry taste upfront plus some grass notes on the finish. Unfortunately, too much in acidity with overall tart taste. Better to spend some more Euros for a better classic NZ SB. Better on the second day due to less tart taste (86).

We received this wine from our wonderful AirBnB hostess. Tropical fruits on the nose. Very clean fragrance. Strong acid. Notes of pineapple (but without the sweetness). Refreshing and clean. Served it with stir-fried vegetables and it was tasty.

No formal notes on this one. We tasted it at a Sauv blanc dinner last Friday, where we recall this one being restrained on the nose, and aggressive and bitter on the palate. (It was genuinely bitter, not simply acidic...we have no problem with acidic whites.) Not terrible for the money, but we are not sure why this receives such a high score on CT. "Good," 82/100.

Classic Marlborough Sauv blanc. Super tropical w/ pineapple rind and papaya bursting from the glass. Palate confirms the nose, adding some lasting acidity. This is a great food wine and a great value.

Perfect wine bar choice. Big green nose, light grapefruit, prickly nettles, easy, short, but not in a bad way. I think this is one of the better cheap kiwi Sauvignon Blancs.
If you think all NZ sauv blanc taste the same then this won't change your mind. Either of the graywacke sauv blancs, dog point, love block or even cloudy bay might change your mind.

PnP. Pale straw yellow. Grassy and canned fruit aromas. Bright on the grassy green side with hints of apple and guava. Good mid week house wine at the Costco price.

Massive amount of SB greeness on the nose. Gooseberries, nettles, citrusfruit and unripe green strawberries. High acidity, round and fruity, with some tiny amounts of residual sugar. Light to medium bodied. OK intensity and length.
Another SB from NZ that tastes like all the other SBs from NZ.

Much rounder and softer than the 2015. Asparagus and tomato leaf are pretty dominant with not much fruit coming out. Long finish.

Very soft, lacks flavor, thin, very grassy, very short. It's wine so it gets some points for that...

It smells like honeysuckle and honeydew. The body is light. The wine has bright texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has high acidity.

Not always my style, extreme grapefruit with tart acidity. But it stood up well with homemade pork adobo, most with n especially would not cut it.
