bright gold; slight oxidation, baked apple, plenty of complexity, albeit in an odd way; some tin remains on the finish when the fruit fades. More interesting than enjoyable

Medium bodied, rustic. Golden yellow, certainly well oxydized post-fermentation but not for worse. Tree fruit skins, hibiscus, pear, honeysuckle, under-ripe peach. Golden and white fruit and flowers. Nice journey but finishes poorly, slightly bitter and metallic — good length though.

Deep golden color. The nose has honeysuckle, orange, anise, almond and on the palate honey and citrus. There's a funkiness and hint of oxidation to this but I find it interesting and akin to some orange wines. This time we had it with miso black cod and it was a great match.

Lovely and wish I had more. Outrageous and complex honey, spicy orange, and white flower aromas. Full bodied and rich, but with nice attack and totally dry. Loads of white fruits, Fuji Apple, wet rock, and nice balance although the mid-palate hollows out a bit. As with the last bottle, the alcohol does poke out a bit.

aroma of acacia honey, honeysuckle, some heat. Minerals, pears, golden raisins, nutty, dried apples refreshing lime zest. Tastes like Marsanne/roussane? Mixed with Sancerre? High glycerol, high toned, totally dry but some impression of sweetness. I find it really delicious, not sure why all the hating. At $15 this is a steal. Only thing preventing it from being better is the high alcohol sticks out noticeably - more than the 14%. 89+

Honeysuckle all the way through. A fair amount of sweetness -- a bit too much on its own -- but when paired with salty/savory foods it seems to do well. Not the most spectacular wine, but definitely a good choice for its price.

I think people aren't liking this wine because it doesn't align with their preconceptions. It is good, but hard to nail down. On the nose, honeysuckle, floral, maybe a little citrus - you'd think you were about to taste a viognier. On the palate though - orange fruit, grassy, almond(?) extremely clean slate mineral finish. Went well with an arugula goat cheese salad.

Sad about this. Not in the realm of most Thackrey red wines for me. Reminiscent of some inexpensive Viruas from Rioja or Sauv Blancs from Loire. Lemongrass, cat urine and almond. Won't get again unless I hear otherwise, though I do have another downstairs.

Seems to be a bit oxidized at this point. Color is amber, nose and flavor are a bit off. Still drinkable.

Seems to have lost its fruit but still an interesting wine.

Found this quite perfumed, yellow plum and apricot in particular, along with sarsaparilla, and herbs teas. Nice weight and mouthfeel.

A little bit of everything adds up to nothing. Tastes like a cheap table wine. The worst wine I've had in months.

Sorry Sean, but not my style. I thought others would hate it actually but surprised that they found some interest in it. Best with food for sure.
