Agree with other tasters... more citrus/tropical fruits than butter. The finish is initially very creamy with an almost lemon curd approach followed by a spicy bite that is difficult to describe. Very new world, but well made.

Drank alongside 2014 Kistler Les Noisetiers Chardonnay. The P&H was much more fruity and grapey in comparison and more simple by a significant factor. Still very nice, but more citrus than butter.

Clean, excellent oak, I prefer a bit more butter but there's enuf to b very satisfying, crisp fruit with guava and hint of Apple, base of minerally limestone. Delicious.

BLACKWA describes this very accurately. I like oakey and buttery, but not to an extreme, so this was good... surprisingly good. It's complex with great depth of flavor. I prefer the P&H Pinots but thought I'd give this a try since Costco had it. Glad I did.

Good balance for an Oaked Chard. Creamy big but not too buttery with nice pineapple and tree fruit aromas and some hazelnut. Nice acidity to keep things balanced. Very soft texture and a long medium plus finish

Six nations tasting (pyrmont wharf, sydney): apricot, spice, perfumed cedar and spicy notes…slight spritz, juicy, fresh spice and fruit and butter, chalky burr, kind of nice.

A private lunch (Restaurant Morimoto, Napa, California, USA): Seamless and silky, clean and fresh but ripe Californian fruit is balanced by a cool, almost steely minerality, excellent intensity, hint of salted butter, very subtle oak influence, fresh and juicy, very good length.

"Ring in the Holiday Season" Dinner Party (La Jolla, California): This straw-colored white offers an intense nose of lime zest, honeysuckle, tropical fruit and hazelnut. On the palate, it carries these aromas through as similar flavors, all in a light-to-medium-bodied, crisply acidic and seamlessly alcoholic (14.2%) frame. Layered, vibrant and building in the middle, it closes with a fresh, lingering finish. This is outstanding Russian River Chardonnay which successfully balances its California fruit with Burgundian acidity. Drink now-2020.

Brilliant chardonnay! Some said a bit too buttery. Try for yourself.
