This is a blend that is primarily Sangiovese 85 % Cabernet Sauvignon 10 percent and Merlot 5 percent. Light on tannins but pleasant enough to consume with a Mexican vegetarian dish.

Bottle from a friend. Given the dirt on it, perhaps not stored in the best of conditions (but I've had more than a few bottles meet flood waters as well, so it happens). Fairly dark, opaque red. Notes based on sitting in glass for three hours or so. Huge nose, but one note dark cherry -- OK, maybe a bit of earth in there. Mouth is full if somewhat nondescript wine and fruit. Fast fading finish with moderate tannins. Unpretentious, easy drinking, pairs nicely with pasta and meatballs. Good mid week table wine.

Not sure if this is a bad one or not, Tasted very watered down. At only 10 bucks I'm not losing out on much but will never buy again. Expect so much more from a Tuscan blend.

This is pretty bad straight out of the gate but opens up after some time. The funky astringent notes seem to mellow a bit. At roughly $20 I'd say this is fair PQR although I'd never buy this again.

This is a super tuscan wine. Nice mild dark fruit aroma with a splash of pie cherry. Balanced fruit, Soft acid with silky lasting tannin. Very nice. Recommend and would buy again.

PnP at cellar temperature. Presents as garnet with brown highlights and a thin clear rim. Candied red fruit, lip balm, touches of salty bacon fat, and soap come across on the nose...but it all seems rather manipulated. In the mouth, the red fruit has an artificially sweet/candied quality, and the finish is very short. Medium(-) body, medium acid, and medium(+) tannin combine to leave this feeling off-balance. Not a very good wine. "Average-to-good," 80/100.

Bought looking for a 'low cost supertuscan style' wine. Don't have enough knowledge to say how good it was related to others, but this would be fine whenever a traditional dinner wine is required. As previous reviewers suggested it probably would be good with pizza. Also agree with previous comments that it was a quick finish.

Medium-light red color. Dusty cherry nose, bay leaf, hint of burnt match. Lifted acidity, modest depth. Not sure how long this bottle had been open, enjoyed by the glass. A decent quaff with enough lift and energy which matched well with our rich, cheese-laden deep dish Chicago style pizza with sausage and red peppers.

Really nice. Red currant and cedar shavings. This wine, year after year, has a slightly drying finish, which makes it a great foil to pizza. Nice QPR. 87

Served at Room Temp with roast beef. Blackberry, Red-Currant and Black Pepper on the nose, Cherry, stems, and spice on the palate. Ruby-colored, light-bodied and astringent, the wine seems to lack balance. Very dry, tart finish. Wine is not to my taste and I would not purchase again.
(In an informal taste comparison with a 2014 Beaulieu Vineyards Pinot Noir and 2012 Coppola Pinot Noir Diamond Collection, I rated the Coppola @ 86 pts, BV @ 85 pts, & the Monte Antico Toscana @ 83 pts. Coppola had the most fruit, with notes of dark cherries, BV is silky smooth, very pleasant but not a lot of distinctive flavor. The Tuscan seemed somewhat harsh with tannins.)

Overly bright red fruit nose.. light hint of tobacco. A flash of bright red fruit on the palate followed by a touch of tobacco and sticks. Faded into nothing within seconds. Felt like it was finished before it started. (i.e. short finish). Nothing offensive. Nothing remarkable. On sale at $8.99 so price was ok for a simple sipper.

The wine looks crimson colored. Slow legs. Blackberry and black pepper on the tongue. The body is light/medium. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity. All in all great bottle for under 15$

Less fruity than usual. Still some depth on tarter, crunchier fruit. More classically styled. I enjoyed it. Slightly more fun with food but decent sipper too. Prefect with sloppy joes. For only $8.50, this is really hard to beat. Nice Sangio dominated blend. The '09 was juicier and more flamboyant than this is.

great at $10. balanced blend to keep around the house.
medium body with more than adequate acidity. almost ripe red fruit with leather, sweet tobacco, and a faint hint of barnyard on the palate. nose matches. the finish is short and round but this is still a complex and food friendly wine for $10-12.
reccomended.
