Similar to previous bottle. A bit on the sweet side for a Pinot Gris, but decent enough acidity to not seem flabby. Tasty and food friendly, but almost more reminiscent of a typical German off-dry Riesling than an Alsace Pinot Gris.

Bottle purchased at winery upon release and cellared since. Typical for the vintage, ripe with low acid. A bit out of balance tasting too sweet for the finish. Full bodied with a lingering finish, but not one that makes it better. Caramel notes. Muted aromatics. I should have drunk it younger but I keep avoiding my 2003's from Alsace.

Disappointing, but I am starting to question the storage conditions this came from. Pale color, faint aromas of green apple, faint flora aromas, lots of spice/oak on the nose but very shy. Acid and spice on the palate. Drink up.

Excellent wine. Needed about 1/2 - 1 hr of air. Nose had alot of apple, pear and baking spice. Taste was medium bodied, lightly sec, with a nicely complex taste of apple, pear, baked apple pie. Good minerality on the mid-palate, and a nice long finish. Quite good.

From Somellier blind tasting Clear pale straw yellow core of moderate- intensity that extends out to a thin watery rim. Colour indicates mature grapes or very warm conditions or oak??? Clean closed nose - little fruit initially with some faint mineral notes along with some rubber. Just off dry wine with moderate+ body. Honey and mango flavour with some alcohol heat on the palate (14%?). Little development shown - all sweet fruit and a moderate length finish. Acidity not obvious but with the sweetness present and the wine not cloying it must be moderate+ in intensity. This wine is very well balanced but is very young and needs some time to allow it's obvious pedigree to develop. Very good quality - would buy to cellar for 5-10 years. Later - lily/straw on nose with waxy orchard fruit on the palate and a bit of orange peel on the finish - showing very well!

Rich deep gold. Sherry and nutty aromas. Sweet, crunchy, very slight bitterness. Hazelnut flavors. Lacks some acidity, otherwise very good/delicious.

Just a touch of sweetness. Caramel notes and maybe just a bit soft on the acidity.

Domaine Weinbach Wine Masterclass (World Gourmet Summit 2005) (The Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore): Light bronze. Opulent nose. Silky and sweet but well balanced with acid. Long finish. With 42 g/L residual sugar and good acidity, I would drink this with spicy South Indian curry.
