Dark cherry and cocoa flavors with extraordinarily smooth and balanced tannins. The harshness present a few years ago is all but gone, and now hints of vanilla and spice are a welcome part of a very satisfying finish. Drink now. This wine is probably at or near its peak.

Sweet cherry and coffee flavors on the attack, but way, way too much oak on the finish. Strong vanilia finish that was overwhelming. Unfortunately, this did not dismiss over time in the glass. Found the same with the Davis Chardonnay. Mid-palate was lacking complexity.

Nose was slow in developing, but the gorgeous cherry, spice and raspberry were displaying their wares from the get go. And smooth, wow. Almost too smooth. This is not a huge over the top wine, but a very drinkable, smooth Cabernet that complements food rather than overpower it.

blue velvet with aromatics of violet and cherry and a hint of coffee. This wine drank absolutely beautifully and was the crowd favorite wine of the night. Simply delicious. We drank 2 bottles and would have drank a third if I could have found the last bottle.

Tried this at a retailer tasting yesterday. This was better than the 2001 version of this wine but still was not in the outstanding category in my opinion. Somewhat rustic and old world in character. Red fruit notes with some twizzler thrown in on the finish. Medium bodied. 88 points.

Had this Magnum and served at a party. Huge hit and well received. Complex, and deep.

Calicab fruit show, a bit overextracted for my taste with a cherry syrup finish.

Hot hot heat! Fruit subsided by alcohol but wore off a little after hours of decanting.
