  • One of the more interesting and delicious whites I've tried in a long time... For me, the flavour profile was akin to a flat blanc de blancs with a dash of riesling. Great texture. Quite different, and utterly compelling.

  • Pale yellow with golden shades. Nose reveal peach and citrus, with also herbs and a mineral flavor. In the mouth is really creamy and well rounded, with a juicy fruit and a great minerality and freshness. Great finish, very good with fat fishes

  • The nose was a bit subdued but I got some minerals and a whiff of gooseberries. Medium bodied, dry, firm acidity with a nice tangy bite, delivering intriguing subtle fruit of peach and grapefruit with good minerals on the finish. Smooth, balanced and refreshing. Utterly delicious.

  • It presents with green fruit and spice, but it tastes a bit more citrus with a nice attack of acid on the finish. Medium bodied and smooth, very round on the palate and great with sea bass tartare.

  • This white wine is a winner.
Deepish yellow color. Seems quite viscous. Nice aromas of Gooseberries, hay, green peas, and honeyed pear.
Full bodied mouthfeel. Intense and focused fruit; pear, citrus notes, gooseberries, chalkyness, some greenness and good minerality in the finish. Lively accidity, that keeps the wine fresh. Leaves a long and intriguing aftertaste of Honeyd pear, gooseberries, hay, minerals, even some saltyness and some white pepper.
For the price this wine delivers, big time.

  • Pale yellow with faint green highlights. The nose is like a textbook example of a classic high-end Soave: aromas of ripe apple, honeydew melon, some hay and hints of pear with an underlying touch of white flowers and wet stone minerality. Full-bodied, rich and almost oily palate with a hint of CO2 prickle for a few moments. Despite its obvious ripeness the concentrated flavors are pretty dry and heavy on the mineral side; flavors of peach, sweet apple, mirabelle plum, ripe citrus fruits, some almond and hints of tart tropical fruits, supported by nuances of wet stones. The residual sugar of 6 g/l gives the wine some sense of weight and richness, yet still it comes across as really refreshing and structured, not heavy. Long, complex and pretty mineral finish with nuances of autolytic creaminess and refreshing flavors of green apples, some pineapple, a little spiciness, a hint of hay and a touch of saline tang.

Incredibly impressive, rich and structured Soave, where the small dose of residual sugar is nicely balanced out by crisp acidity and pronounced, stony minerality. This harmonious, rich and still surprisingly refreshing wine is light years away from those simple, neutral things people often associate Soave with. Although I prefer the more austere and mineral Suavia Massifitti, this is a close second. I wouldn't be surprised if this wine could actually develop in the cellar for many years, because its impeccable balance of fruit, concentration and acidity speak volumes about its aging potential. Highly recommended and definitely worth its price at 19,90€.

  • A quite generous nose with ripe yellow fruit, pear and some pineapple. Medium-bodied palate with good mineral acidity and some leesiness, leading to a long warmish finish. The fruitiness (or there might even be some RS?) is balanced by the acidity, so despite the weight, it still remains fresh. Improved with time. Nice.

  • Good wine but cannot see why Decanter once gave it 95 if I remember correctly. Nice volcanic touch, citrus and stone fruit, good balance but not exciting, for the same price I'd rather drink a German white.

  • Open ripe fruit nose of white peach, pineapple and poached pear. Lemon rind, ginger, almonds and a hint of fresh herbs.
Dry, pretty full bodied and delightfully intense with animating acidity. Ripe white to yellow toned fruit, some leesiness and spicy nuances. Long and refreshing finish after a good deal of intensity and substance. Very nice stuff. I heard it might take some time to find proper focus. So, I popped the cork in the morning and had a few sips here and there. Really finished the bottle after midnight, when this note was written.

  • Sorry no real tasting note. Fine mineral touch of vulcanic soil, realtively sweet fruit, good extract

  • Stone, lemon, grass on the nose and palate. Well balanced and long. Will last för 5-7 years, but is a joy already! Another testimony to the increasing quality of Italian whites.
