A bit too thin and “generic” for my taste, lacking not only structure but some rustic texture to make this more meritorious. Evident VA on the nose, a bit distracting but not overwhelming. Notes of bramble, berries and saddle leather. Fades on the finish.

Fantastic producer, and an easy-to-drink, enjoyable "baby brunello". Visited the winery in 2014 and tasted the range of their bottling, including their olive oil. Beautiful location and gorgeous wines across the board. This Rosso is not as powerful, layered or refined as their formidable BdM, but it displays the same dark cherry and red fruit highlights. Medium finish, well-balanced, elegant, and on the lighter side, lovely to drink with Friday night pizza.

Elegant Sangiovese with elegant balance and structure. Some Brunello notes. Very nice wine from a good producer. I try agsin in 1 year. Perfect to bbq.

A business lunch (Restaurant Breda, Amsterdam, NL): Bright and fresh, transparent and clean, cherries and berries and warm spices, hint of cream, gentle tannins provide nice grip, light weight but no lack of flavour, hint of espresso, good resonance and length.

13.5% - Clear, med to pale garnet / clean, med to pronounced intensity - sour cherry, concentrated red berry fruit, floral, autumn forest floor, something Burgundian / dry, med+ acidity, med body, med+ tannin, pronounced intensity, med+ length. Improved over last year bottles and always a pleasure to drink.

13.5% - Clear, med to light ruby / clean, med to pronounced intensity - dried cherry, cranberry, wet forest floor, floral / dry, med to high acidity, med body, med slightly rustic tannin, med+ intensity. This is reliable Rosso di Montalcino which is nicely balanced. This bottle improved compared to the last ones I had last year and seems to be more in line with the '11 vintage I enjoyed so much.

Rubis clair, style burgogne. Au nez, petits fruits rouges, epices, poivre, très légères notes animal. En bouche, petits fruits rouges, tanin soyeux, longueur moyenne. Très bien pour le prix, même si ce n'est pas très complexe.

Nose of sour cherry, cranberry, and underbrush. Medium-to-full body in the mouth, with flavors of tart red fruit and welcome acidity. An impressive wine for the price. Drink over the next few years.

Pretty good. Tried it from the by the glass menu at towne stove and spirits in Boston and was pleasantly surprised. Dusty nose with good front and mid palate - finishes a little light, but it is smooth nonetheless. I like it. Score = [ 50 + 5 + 11 + 16+ 6 ] = 88.

God but still so young and primary hard to assess at this stage. Dusty dark leathery cherries and gripping tannins

Pretty solid Rosso; nice red fruits, dusty earth, hint of tobacco. Clean and fresh, tasty, not great, but for enjoyable for a Rosso.
