Drinking a 2013 in 2022, so 4 years past it's optimal 2018 drinking year. Still very nice. Refreshing, Chardonnay minerality and smooth light sheer silkiness. Pears, herbs, hints of citrus. Vanilla creaminess in the base. Medium body with good juiciness. Pleasant drinking and versatile. Definitely a like, maybe a love.

shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate the end of the work week. i was disappointed with this, although i should not have been had i recalled that wine enthusiast tends to be generous with their scores. i suspect that wine of this type accounts for why many people are bored with california chardonnay. typical hints of citrus and white stone fruit but lacking intensity and dimensionality. don't want to be overly critical since i still respect the freemark abbey name.

Very good, refreshing wine and easy to drink. Light oak, crisp, good body (although not overly big), fruit -- I get lemon-lime, granny smith apple and white peach -- and good acidity.

Our house Chardonnay. I view this wine as having the right amount of oak to allow the bright citrus and acidity to shine. A little too easy to drink, but that's OK. Need to stock up as we are OUT.

My style of Chardonnay; crisp acidity thanks to mostly stainless fermentation, but initial body courtesy of French oak in small barrels. Clear yellow color, nice fruit, and a fairly long finish. Very nice.

Juicy apples, pears, and a hint of women's perfume on the nose. Oak scents in the form of butterscotch and custard. Mouthfeel is lightweight and withdrawn. Crisp apple palate. Flavors are elongated, and a wild grass undertone gives it interest and keeps it from being too sweet. Pear mingles with the apple fruit on the end. What I liked most was the wild grass undertone that provided just a hint of bitterness (in a good way) and gave this complexity.

Tropical fruits, baked apple, and clove. Clearly in the new world chard range even if it is lacking that brown butter and butterscotch notes suggesting judicious oak. Medium acid (though supposedly no ML thankfully as it would fall over flat with it).

Loads of citrus, vanilla, butter, vraiment Californian, but with balance and structure to hold its own. Ready to drink, but no hurry. #Kandestederne

some hints of pear and apple blossom emerge from this Napa classic Chardonnay. Great - layers and minerality

Pear, citrus, an oak presence without being overdone. A house favorite. Very easy to drink (which can be a problem sometimes).

Decent Cali chardonnay. Acidity was sufficient to support the oak; not too much vanilla & sweetness. But not a substitute for a good basic Bourgogne.

This was a nice restrained Chardonnay. Not too oaky, and didn't have lots of green apple

Tropical guavas and fruit, dollops of Manuka honey and lightly toasty oak.
