Floral, pear, and mineral, chalk and sea salt, nose. Slate, wet stone, a touch of lemon zest, and sea salt palate with good acidity and tartness with a long finish.

Softened a bit since last bottle, 2.5 years ago. Otherwise similar profile, I get a bit more on the salinity side, light chalk, and a lovely lemon/floral element that shows now. Moderately rich, balanced.

nice tropical notes are riper than i expected. still, this has exceptional cut and the mineral notes are spot on. there is also a nice salinity to the finish that is really pleasant.

Served with grilled tuna, caprese salad. Very nice, crisp, clean, bit of richness, moderate acidity, moderate length, light citrus/lemon, mineral. Surprisingly robust as it held its own and complemented both the tuna and the tomato/basil/balsamic salad very nicely, as I hoped it would. What a fine meal all together!

Nose of apple and stones. Nice acidity but masked by the full, round body from the autolysis. A little salinity on the finish; more would be welcome. Drink now.

Lusca with Roy Hersh (Lusca, Atlanta): Nice roundness of fruit, minerals, and a little salinity, all well-supported by acidity, it isn't a wine to contemplate but rather one to simply relax and enjoy.

Typical lemony, stony, marine scents, with apple/pear and hints of custard and dough; quite pleasant. Tasty, round, balanced, refreshing; friendly and likable; doesn't have the definition or saline/mineral intensity of the Clos des Briords (a natural but maybe unfair comparison), but nice wine.

Fresh and clean, with some lemon notes. Doesn't have quite the focus and energy the Briords generally shows (though I haven't yet tried the 2013 Briords). Very good QPR at $15.

A single vineyard site. The only Gnessis vineyard that he has. It means Fat Sheep. He makes this wine because he doesn't want you to be sheep-le, and critical thinking drives society forward.

consistent with prior note, with the salinity more prominent. this is solid, especially with food. good value. paired with smoked trout rillettes.

Just delicious. Fresh apple with a hint of sea salt in the finish. Round and bracing at the same time. Good food wine.

Stony with just a hint of salinity, and fuller body than I expected cloaking the acidity, a delicious and refreshing match for oysters and nigiri.
