1995 vs 1996 comparison. Didn't greatly care for either to be honest. The '96 was a bit more balanced in terms of structure since it didn't have the fierce 1995 tannins, but the nose was a bit feeble. The whole thing felt rather flat- at least the '95 is interesting..

Nicely matured Margaux, which is reaching the end of its drinking window, but still enjoyable. Well matures black currant, subtle oak, tobacco, sous-bois. Medium bodied, not overly complex, but well structured.

Badum Tsss! Another '90s Bordeaux that is still singing, pretty much loud and clear! Perfect fill-level and lovely vibrant but ripened colour.
In the nose mostly red fruit, currant, cherry. Secondary aroma's of toasted cask. Also some leather and earth.
In the taste this "older gentleman" offers ripened red fruit, very well balanced acidity and fruitiness. The slightest hint of vanilla which to me is very likeable, gives it a fuller body. Tannins still noticeable but very much integrated. Medium length finish.

Very intense garnet with orange red tints. Expressive Nose of red currants, spices, hint of pepper. More cloves and wet forest, vanilla and black currants after swirling. Silky entry with gradual tannins development that become lively. Alcohol gives round and there is still noticeable acidity. This is an elegant and refined wine that has aged ell and is alluring. Final tannins are mouth watering with the lingering sweet spices and dark cherries and black currants. Finish of 11 sec.

Bouquet very rich and complex. Getting more beautiful every 10 minutes. Firm wine with a lot of good bitterness. This is the best Dauzac I ever tasted.

Showed better than a recent bottle of the 1995- plush red fruit, fragrant nose (Marguaxberries as some say), a bit of cedar and leather. Only light tannins, finish was too short to be a really good bottle of Bordeaux but this was a decent wine for its $25 closeout pricetag.

Fantastic margaux. Aged, noble , subtle and velvety length. Bravo. Not sure i expected this, but a testament to Bordeaux. Aged.

Not bad at all. Mature Bordeaux. Not very complex, but easy to drink and enjoy. Classic notes in nose and palate.
