This was a resounding surprise. Dark fruits and plenty of pepper were the hallmarks of this wine. Mild tannins and medium acidity were quite lovely as well. As the wine settled the typical Sangiovese notes of herbs and leather began to emerge. What a fun wine! Would go well with pasta and pizza, red sauce with sausage.

I have had this bottling in at lest a half dozen vintages. Was hoping something drinkable for mid week at $9. Way too spoofy with whatever they are using for oak flavors (saw dust, chips, etc). Would not buy again.
Sangiovese 100%. Italy - Southern. It tastes like oak. The body is light/medium. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity. The wine looks brick colored. It smells like light toast. The body is light/medium. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has medium acidity.

Quite a nice bottle, especially for the price. smooth and full on the palate, nice sangiovese aromas of cherry, leather and earth. Stands pretty far above many others at this price point. Will buy more.

Drank at Pazo in Baltimore; $25 on wine list, good solid medium bodied sangiovese; enjoyed with pizza and friends; lots of fruit but acid makes it balanced; will drinka again.

Beautiful nose with floral, cherry, and strawberry notes. Very similar to a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, believe it or not. Similar flavors with nice tannins on the palate. Medium-length finish. A fabulous wine for $9!

Pop and pour. Aromas of cherry, tar, roses and earth. Flavors of raspberry, game and tar. Ends with a earth driven finish. Nice for the moment money.

Dark colour. Dark, ripe fruit and savoury with dark chocolate, tar, with rich, mid-weight texture and lingering finish. Excellent QPR.
