Probably better a year or two ago, though still very good. The dark fruit comes across as a slightly tired with hints of prunes, while the texture, weight and balance are superb. Great value for the price paid. Drink now.

Smokey and dark, and more barnyardy than what I just tasted. And hey, its a ton of Mourvedre which explains why it tastes the way it tastes. So if your thinking Mourvedre its right there.

Drank at Chateau - Mourvèdre 60%, Syrah 40%. A beautiful rich complex fruit filled nose with a silky smooth palate. Go to the Chateau and they sell this wonderful stuff for 12 Euros a bottle.

From memory. This is dense and seems Syrah based despite the Mourvèdre. Swishing shows dense structure that is acid and mostly fruit tannin. Sipping shows surprising polish and balance. Very nice for the price point.

Not 100% sure on vintage, but I think it was '12. In any case, this had a fruit-forward blueberry character tempered by the earthiness of the Mourvedre. Mid-weight, fine texture, soft tannins. Modern, but not spoofy, an amiable wine with good character.

Disappointing compared with our memory of this one - but still a very nice bottle. Maybe time to drink up?

Slight barnyard nose that blew off eventually. Dark fruit, med acidity, tannins that suggest this will age well.

Hearty Mourvèdre blend that bleeds earth and oak.

The Costieres de Nimes is the old river bed of the rhone river valley is what I am being told.
Red and black cherry fruit, some stiff minerality on the palate, ripe fruit and tension.
