This continues to be a wonderful CdR - a 2011 still drinking well and arguably improving in 2020 puts it closer to CdP drinking recommendations. Unfortunately it’s the last one so I’ll move onto a later vintage !

Good. I undersold this wine before. Eucalyptus and tobacco on the nose. Dark fruits and herbs on the tongue. Yummy with a grilled filet and mushrooms w/fresh rosemary.

Day-1 = 90Pts This is a great value! I don't remember what I paid for this but it looks like it is going for around $15. I would feel completely comfortable at $25-$30. This is a very pleasant CDR with some surprising qualities. It screams old world and CDR right off the bat on the nose and palate but I think it may be on the downhill slide. I wish I had more to try later but I don't. If you do, I would recommend drinking no later than 2020. - Pale ruby to pale purple, crystal-clear, slightly colored thick legs on the appearance. - Clean, Med+ intensity, mushroom, char, roasted marshmallow, barnyard, earth... very old world characteristics on the nose. - Palate: Dry, slight acidity, low tannins, full body. Starts immediately with a blast of raisin and earth, moving to the autolytic (bread crust-like), then transitioning to pencil lead and cereal with slight bitter chocolate and tobacco leaf overtones. - CDR is why I started drinking wine. I love this one and for the price it is amazing! This would pair well with pungent cheeses and fatty meats or simply with a loaf of French bread and organic salted butter.

Good. After drinking some highly polished California cabs this was a pleasant break. Rustic, herbal, hints of eucalyptus;not highly polished. Just good wine.

Good. Rather on the light side for a CdR; red fruits and some herbs. This is not nearly as good as the winery's "La Cigalete," which is really good for about the same price.

Sub $15 CdR from WTSO. Would buy again. Paired well with roasted chicken. Enjoyed more on day 2 as Grenache flavor was more prominent.

Good. Eucalyptus, eucalyptus and, oh, some thyme and rosemary. Not dark and rich, but interesting.

Solid QPR. Still a bit rough around the edges. I think this will improve in a year or so.
