This is an acknowledgement of the fact that, as we age, our tastes tend to change. I generally like Malbec, but this was far more tannic than I usually like. My wife, OTOH, who has been mostly a "I dislike tannin" Chard Lady all her life, has recently come to appreciate reds, to the extent that she was ecstatic about this, to the point of drinking the last 300 ml on her own. Thus, the points given are a composite of hers and mine. I really do wonder, based on all the other Notes, if this wine's best years are still ahead of it.

This didn't live up to our notes from the 2013, which was pretty decent. This one lacked structure and had the "yeasty" nose of a mass-produced wine (think Apothic or similar) with little-to-no Malbec character underneath. The high point is that this is drinkable without activating the gag reflex. Avoid this wine. "Below average," 72/100.

Fantastic juice for the money, with a floral, tart plum, gravelly and very bright nose, bistro style, fragrant and juicy. Super well-made. I could drink this all day.

The nose is awesome on this. Drinks like a Pinot noir and surprised of the low ratings on this. Lots of black and blue fruit. French Oak. Delicious!

plums, simple nose. Palate is disjointed, alcohol shows, there are better options for malbec in the price point.
