I like Nicole Lamarche's Malconsorts as I often find that this 1er cru outperforms all her other Vosne 1er cru. The wine does not have any green aromas typical of many other wines in 2013 but is all dark fruits and spices, followed by an elegant and silky mouthfeel that ends in a persistent finish. This wine is still a bit firm today and it needs to rest a couple of years in the cellar to reveal more complexity. Good value.

It's not very expressive on the nose. Sweet red fruit. Beautifully balanced palate. Power, fruit, acidity. Long tasty and fresh finish.

Visit to Domaine Francois Lamarche-Vintage 2013 (Vosne Romanee): Also medium red color. Slightly rounder than the Chaumes, but still classic with a tart core of acidity. More backward than that wine. I really liked its unadorned purity.
