A: light gold N: very very floral. P: Fully dry, but also intensely floral which is a mind warper. Its a marmite wine. Great quality but not sure I like it. I'd rather pay the extra for a Condrieu.

Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club" 2015-08; Northern Rhône (@ PD): The wine has developed over the last 6 months and my tasting note is quite different. This evening the wine mainly showed ripe white fruits, flowers and some citrus in the bouquet. On the palate yellow fruits like bananas, peach, mango and pineapple, flowers, green herbs and tangerine. Some grapefruit in the finish. Overall an aromatic wine with a good length.

Such a beautiful wine. Everything is in harmony. Lovely nose that just captivated me. On the palate, it was soft yet bright enough to keep things in balance. Just a great viognier - love this style.

Bravo Francois! As promised at the en primeur stage by the Wine Soc: 'Peaches and Cream'. Definitely so. Also, apricot, peach stone, lovely mineral flavour - did someone say oyster shell? - bang on - and a core of acidity to keep it working through the meal, and (key) at all temperatures. Certainly a happy and lucky choice for a prawn and parsnip Thai curry (yes, it exists -- i just ate it). But the main point is the wine. It is a treat.

Incredibly bright nose of classic viognier stone fruits and floral notes. White peach, nectarine, melon, banana, jasmine. Vibrant palate to match, rich and bold at first, beautiful mouthfeel, but then dives down into a stony minerality on the back end. Like an intensely fruity new world viognier and restrained mineral driven old world viognier had a perfect little baby. QPR for the win.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #099; France: Northern Rhône, Viognier (By CvR): The wine stays for 11 months on the lees and gets 37% new oak and 63% in 3 - 5 year old barrels. The vines are 20 years old and on a slope with a southeastern exposure. The yield is 44 hectoliters/hectare. The bouquet is beautifully aromatic with yellow fruits, litchi and some mint/menthol. On the palate soft yellow like pineapple and white fruits like pear and sweet apple. Also hints of lavender, salty minerals and talcum powder. Soft bitterness in the finish. A beautiful wine. 90+

Notes of orange oil, seashell, melon, minerals all in a trim, very correct package, balancing freshness, place and grape in such a way that the whole easily exceeds the modest price-point. An apertivo wine, or one to enjoy with salads and other lighter fare. This is my preferred style of Viognier as compared to the ones coming from CA/WA - no trace of heat/EtOH, extraction, etc., here, just bright and lively. recommended
Served non-blind.

The most complex and the richest in the line-up. Floral, musky, ripe on the nose. Well balanced on the palate, very long. 90-91+

Very light melon nose and flavours. The oiliness of Viognier is all over it. Incredibly smooth with a light honey dew melon flavour. Very interesting.
