Absolutely lovely aperitif with crudites and olives. Lovely briney number full of lemony citrus and some floral notes. Very fresh, lively, good acidity and minerality really brings everything together. I can see why this may not be everyone's cup of tea as the fruit is rather subtle and restrained, but it really lifts the palate for me.

Wonderfully pure and fresh, salty and mineral, flowers, ripe peach, light weight (12.5% ABV) but does not lack intensity, juicy and supple, Moselle-like, easy but with underlying tension, good length. At restaurant John Dory, Amsterdam, NL.

Bursting with citrus on nose and palate. Lemon and orange peel give way to some nice salinity mid palate and then a nice lingering medium + acid finish. We irreverently paired this with San Marzano tomato sauce, pasta, and pan seared Cod. It was perfect with this dish.

This pale yellow, crisply acidic wine flaunts aromas and flavors of kiwi, lavender, lime and saline. Light-bodied and with well-integrated alcohol (12.5%), it sails through the mid-palate and concludes with a medium-length, juicy finish. This is top-quality Albariño which is true to varietal character. Drink it young. Drink now-2016.

Two contrasting tasting notes previously and I'm of the glass half full persuasion. Lovely depth and complexity as the man says. Will buy more on this showing.

Klares, mittleres Zitronengelb;
Duft sauber, ausgeprägt intensiv,
Gras, Steinobst (Pfirsisch, Aprikose), Grapefruit, Maracuja, frische Früchte, aber sehr reife Früchte,
Leichte Gewürztöne (vielleicht weißer Pfeffer, vielleicht Muskatnuss), stahlige bzw. steinige Note;
Trocken, mittlere bis hohe Säure, mittlerer bis voller Körper, im Geschmack eher gekochte Aromen, kurzer Abgang;
Gute Qualität

Fruit and candied, crisp and crunchy. Powerful drive on the palate. Works at $25 or so.

dry, with good mineality, but slightly bitter finish. Would perhaps be better with food.

Definitely not my favorite Albariño. Tart finish, acid problem? Used it to steam the lobsters.

Three bottles shared with friends and vegetarian curry. Good match. Refreshing on the palette but with the flavour to cope with the curry.

Pale gold, fruity nose - citrus and more tropical notes on the nose. Citrus continues to the taste, which does make this a little acidic.
