Still quite young and I won’t touch the others I have for 3-5 years. Like some other 2013s I have had, it is a more serious expression than usual, leaning more to black fruit rather than the usual red or blue that I find at Blankiet. The tannins are not obtrusive at the front end, but still provide some sting at the back, and personally I prefer to wait until they have further mellowed. At this point, the Cab Franc seemed quite pronounced (though quite tasty), but I expect the Cab Sauv will reveal itself more over time. Already delicious, and my rating might prove conservative over time.

This stunning and integrated Cabernet is just entering its drinking window - but it great even at this early stage. Dark red in color, medium in body, intriguing aromas of blueberry, cocoa powder, and gravel. Tastes of black cherry, raspberry, mocha, and bay leaf, with a silky and fresh finish. Blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. 14.6% alcohol. This is a complex but medium-bodied wine that is delicious and classy at the same time. 95+ for now, with upside in 2020 and beyond. Decant at least an hour.

Quite a big modern styled wine, no escaping you are in Napa here. Not overdone and not unduly oaky though. Very dark colour, deep nose of black fruits and light vanilla. Black fruit flavour profile of blackberry, blackcurrant and plummy notes. Very complex and persistent through a long finish with licorice (a constant with Blankiet) and smoke. Very interested to see how this ages but could have significant upside. 94+ You may not want to play the Napa game, but if you are in, this seems a good choice at <$200

Color: Purple Nose: Earth and Mineral Power; Extremely Polished Taste: Very Heavy, Dry and tannic; Rich and Good Bite even After a 2 Day Decant; Very Age-Worthy Comp's: ROY Estate Cab but more Finessed; Closest is Mythicus, which is another step above this

Winter in Wineland; 1/14/2017-1/20/2017 (Sonoma & Napa): Drank on the heels of the 2011. Much heavier black fruits. Still lovely gravel and stone and more of that rock flavor that mutes the fruit down. Great cassis. Nice acidity which keeps the wine balanced. This is meant for the longer haul. Very nice. Maybe my favorite of the tasting.

Medium to slightly heavier body, lots of flavor, with mild tannins, holds up well with fillet mignon.

Very dynamic wine and could use even more age but drinking quite beautifully now. Celebrating my 44th in style

Love this wine. Still needs some age in the bottle but drinking well with 2-3 hours of air.

A very nice and elegant wine. You won't be disappointed with the wine. The PtV is quite a bit off though.

Beautiful balanced wine, will be great in 5 years, black and blue fruit with hit of cocoa and dust. I wish I had bought more
